Touch of death

He drove hard, he went fast, his wet cloth clung to his body as he cursed at the car for not moving more quickly than it was doing, and he slammed hard on the steering wheel, flying past the few trucks on the way.

"Gia..." He whispered in the car, one hand dragging his hair back, Axel's voice ringing.

'Run, Zayne, or not; either way, she won't make it.'

Cartel's quarters, he breathed hard. The last time he had gone there was the first time their paths had crossed, and now it seemed it would be their last.

He pushed off the negative thought. He had to think positively; he fucking had to think positively, but knowing Axel and his anger toward her, he hoped he didn't get there too late.

He was alone on the road, in the dark stormy night, with lightning striking and thunder rumbling, and all he could think of was how scared she would be, how wounded, how dead.

I hope he ends up telling the truth to her about Alexa’s baby. The truth always comes out in the end. I honestly don’t think I could stay. That’s a hard pill to swallow even if she tricked him. I don’t know. That’s a hard one.
