While Beverly and Bianca continued their discussion, Evan had gone to the IT department at Gray Corporation.

The CEO's personal visit could only mean something serious, so the manager grew uneasy and quickly called in the best programmer.

"I want to know every place my car has been parked. Can you do it in two minutes by connecting a phone to the car?" Evan paused, recalling Beverly's effortless operation. "Scratch that. Can you do it in one minute?"

"Yes. That's a very basic task, Mr. Gray," the programmer replied.

"With my wife's skills, would she be able to manage it too?" Evan asked.

After Beverly's return to the country, her résumé showed that she'd specialized in computer web design, essentially the "cosmetic arts" of computer science.

Not wanting her to feel discouraged, Evan had arranged a consultant position for her in the IT department and usually told the manager not to bother her beyond letting her play Minesweeper.
