Owen snapped out of his thoughts at that moment. He soon smiled kindly at Stephanie.

"Go ahead."

"Do you know the exact reason why Adrian left the country? He… He's not in any sort of danger, right?"

Even though Adrian had already told Stephanie that he'd return to her safe and sound, the latter couldn't help feeling uneasy for some reason. That feeling intensified when Adrian never contacted her after that particular phone call.

Owen shook his head. "I don't know the exact details as well."

The sight of Stephanie's worried visage made him smile. "It seems that you truly care about your marriage partner, Steph."

Stephanie's ears reddened slightly. "Dad… Adrian's helped me out a lot in Hydroton. No matter what, I don't want anything to happen to him."

She had just gotten out of a failed relationship recently, so she wasn't ready to immerse herself in a new relationship just yet.
