Chapter 7

The doorbell had to ring once more for me to drag my feet over to attend to whoever was slamming into the icon.

My palm circled around the knob about to pull it open when I halted to drag in a very deep and long breath. I'm about to hate my life.

I pulled the door open to the handsome face of my boyfriend.

I don't know what his plan was, but he was dressed a little out of place. Why was he in a suit and tie? Is there a function or he just wanted to be extra?

"You came." There was no point acting surprised after I've already been told about his decision to show up unannounced.

"You don't look so surprised or happy to see me?" His countenance changed as he stared at me with confusion.

"Why are you in a suit?" I decided to switch the subject.

"I thought I'd appear responsible. This is my first time meeting your dad, and I want to leave a unique impression." He smirked, throwing his shoulder up and around.

"Dad isn't-"

"Who is that, Little bird?" Leon's voice came up from behind me, and soon his broad figure stepped into the scene.

I glanced at him to see his eyes pinned on Jack, cold and intimidating.

"Mr Torres. I'm Jake, Gina's boyfriend and it's a pleasure to finally meet you sir," Jake came closer as he stretched out a palm for Leon to take.

Leon glared down at the palm, then back up at Jake's face.

"That's not my dad. My dad isn't around," I whispered out to Jake.

"Oh," he mouthed as he drew back his palm.

The air quickly grew awkward as Leon turned around and walked off the scene. The man is just a subtle ball of mystery, hard to always tell what is in his head.

"Who was that?" Jake quizzed following his absence. "I don't like it when we fight, I've missed you so much," he said as he closed up the space between us to wrap me up in a hug.

My arms remained still, unable to return the hug. I don't know why, perhaps it was guilt. I feel so ugly right now on the inside.

I purposely kept my boyfriend away from my home because I didn't want him to witness my lust for someone I shouldn't be lusting for to begin with.

"Gina?" His soft voice broke me out of my inner self-loathing. "I'm sorry, please can we end our fight?" He cupped my cheeks as he worded, looking me deep in the eyes as if he wanted me to read the pure affection written all over his face.

He loves me, I know that. I kind of love him too, I'm just not very sure. I forget totally all about him whenever I'm around Leon, and during our intimate sessions; Leon is all I can think about.

I curved a small smile at him. "I'm sorry too," I said back to him. If only he knew my apology wasn't about our fight, but for how I've treated him.

There are days when I've had the thought to let him go, but then he shows me just how much he's in love with me and I would think against the idea of breaking his heart.

I know I'm dead wrong for this, for what I'm doing. I just wish, I wish he can fall out of his affections.

"Let me show you my room." I told him as I grabbed him by the palm he had caressing my face and led him inside.

Leon has disappeared totally out of sights, and I wonder how he too was later going to react to the situation that I'm in a relationship.

Fuck this is such a bad timing for Jake to seriously show up here. I still wanna leave with Leon for the city tonight, and how could that be possible if Jake is around.

We got to my room and I ushered Jake straight to sit on the bed.

"I'm gonna go downstairs to get you a drink or something, is there anything you'd like in particular?" I asked, watching him stare around my room in awe.

"Wow, there's so much of you in here. It's so beautiful." He remarked, then proceeded to lay himself flat on my bed as he let out a grunted breath.

"I'm just gonna get you some juice," I said as I left the room.

I hadn't walked that much distance when I heard the sound of footsteps behind me. I halted to take a glance back when Leon walked past me, that blissful scent of his pushing into my senses without warning.

How could a man smell that good. Like a fresh breeze, warm spices and with notes of sandalwood.

I rush back into motion, running after him. "Hey!" I called as soon as I caught up with him.

He continued to walk until we've gotten to the apartment's kitchen and he was at the fridge. He brought out a bottle of water and was about to walk past me again when I crossed over to block his path.

"You have a boyfriend, little bird," he toned out, deep and luscious.

He wouldn't look at me, and that only fueled my guilt. But my passion to sin burnt brighter, than I could try to contain.

My body was no longer mine, now a slave to the spark his mere presence has ignited the moment he allowed himself be this close to me.

I leaped to my feet, as I pushed my arms forward and around him.

'I'm sorry Jake,' I muttered in my head before I let my lips crash down on Leon's mouth unexpectedly.

I forced my way into his mouth, dragging his lips into a rhythm of romance as he slowly pulled into the carnal affair.

His own arms came around me, gripping hard on my waist as he took over the kiss. His dominance raw like I expected with a passion that could easily rival a beast's fury.

God I am so doomed for this man!
