Chapter 13

Falling for Marwan

The two of us finally got to the bottom of the rocky wall that my cave was in. We just needed to climb the shear wall. My roll ladder had been destroyed and hung there loosely by only a few strands. Marwan looked up the wall and at me.

"You climbed up that," he said in awe. I nodded and pressed my thumb into my palm making my claws extend. I embedded them into the wall and began climbing. I told Marwan to use my holes. I grabbed the ladder and put a wrung into my mouth to hold and scurried up the wall. I rolled myself over onto the cave's mouth and Marwan rolled over me. He was laughing at the way I was grunting at his weight.

"Geezus, you weigh a ton," I growled softly and he nodded.

"I think I will claim you as my pet, tiny half breed," he said sincerely and twea
