I’d sent Neviah a text, asking her to send me a list of things a newborn need. Apparently, there were a lot of things a newly born child needed. She mentioned bath towels, a tearless shampoo, onesies, diapers, and to wrap it up, having a baby equaled money. I wondered how she catered for twins. After purchasing every single thing on the list she sent me, one worker helped me bring them to my car.

“Thank you.” I told the woman who had helped me carry some bags. She had assisted me when I got confused about what was best for the baby. She later told me she was a mother of three.

As she walked away, my phone began ringing. It was an unknown number. Could it be Nina? It was unlikely since I made my intentions clear to her. I doubted she’d want to call and have me disappoint her for the second time.
