Chapter 16
Dried up grass and broken tombstones cover the landscape from as far as the eye can see. The sound of the howling wind could easily be mistaken as the groans and moans of the dead that slumber below the dense soil. Bats screech as they fly past the pale moon that hides behind passing gray clouds. Their screeching adding to the already eerie atmosphere.
"I think it's a vampire," Ri says as we walk along the dusty pathway of the graveyard.
"What if it's dead people."
"Five bucks says vampire," he says confidently. Before I can reply a girl's scream rips through the graveyard as she pleads for someone to help her.
"Somone anyone, please help me. Ahhhh!" That's all we hear for a moment and then the place goes completely silent again. Ri and I share a knowing look before we take off running down the pathway where the screams came from.

I chase after her in confusion "Klara," I shout but she doesn't stop she just keeps running up the steps. Ri drives the car down a narrow road that is surrounded by forestry. Soon a gate comes into view and as the car gets closer to it I notice an intricate sword pattern on the gate.Ri rolls down the window and presses a button on the intercom box. I can't feel Orion's energy so that means he hasn't appeared yet. I rush to the end of the bridge. The bridge is guarded by two sentries on either side. The sentry is a being that is cloaked from head to toe and there were often rumors that they were not human, but were created by the goddess of the night herself.I always looked at them from afar. It's been two days since I've seen Ri. He hasn't made the jump for the last two nights and I can't stop thinking about him. The way his eyes turned cold and his jaw clenched when I told him I didn't need him around all the time. I have this constant urge to find him.
