4. the girl is crazy

Chapter 4

Something was not right, Kai wondered within his heart. He wanted just the gold, however, this man said he had to marry his sister first. Wasn't he the one who was supposed to give something back in exchange for the gold? Now the man wants to give his sister and the gold all at once. And why would the girl be screaming,free me! She did not even look surprised to find  strangers in their living room. All she could do was to run straight into his arm, out of the people in the living room. Funny, he thought!

"What do you say, Viggo? My sister likes you already. You can see that for yourself ". Huck smiles, walking in front of them in a circle.

Kai did not spare him a glare, instead, he brought his large muscular arm down to the shoulder of the girl who was clutching tight against him as though she found a protective pillar she had been longing for and did not want to let go. 

Without a word and eyes boring holes into the girl's head,  he placed his hands on her shoulders in an attempt to take her off of his skin. To his greatest dismay, the girl held tightly around him, even more and not daring to let go.

" Are you going to let go, woman!". He said in a boring tone, with his voice not leaving out the deadly command in it.

The girl looked up at him and again, their eyes locked for at most five seconds, before they parted, with the girl shaking her head in denial, not willing to let go. Kai bit on his lower lip, trying not to let his anger consume him because if that happens, he was going to cause havoc where he was standing and that is not going to be a good start for him.

"Need help boss!". Damien suggested behind, as the situation becomes unbearable to watch for him.  "we can tie her up". Hal, raised his eyebrows at Damien.

They had seen the girl when they first arrived and her behavior said otherwise.

They had both confirmed it when the girl ran over to them with a disheveled appearance and was about to seize the gun from Hal when Huck appeared from nowhere and took her away from them because if not she would be dead by now.

"Sshh! Let me deal with her". Huck hushed as he watched the situation amusingly. He had been wanting to let the grazing girl out of his side for a long time now and he did not know how to and he wouldn't give her out to any man in his kingdom since he wanted the girl out and far away from kinka because if she by chance regain her memories, them he was going to be in trouble in losing all the wealth he had somehow collected from her parents. He had thought of killing her on several occasions, however, he could not do it. He did not want another blood stain of a family member in his hand, not just when he killed her parents. He wanted to send her off and far away. So, when Damien and Hal batch at his front door, with their crazy demand, the thought of him giving the girl out, came up to his mind and that's it. Although, he still wonders how the two, located him, and how they found out about his gold, which was something he couldn't fathom. However, if they could take the girl, there was no problem with him giving out half of his possession to whoever married the girl and taking her far away. They could kill her for all he cares, however that should happen far away from him.

"stepped back Daisy". He ordered, shooting her a dark glare, with hands behind him. She looked at him pitifully but still, she did not budge. This act infuriated him even more."leave him now, Daisy!". She tensed this time as tears ran down her face. And with immediate effect, she took a few steps away from Kai, with her hands still holding onto his Jacket, as she was taking too long to leave him, Kai sent his hand forward and pushed her hands off his black leather jacket.

The force he used was enough to put the girl down to her butt, but Huck was quick to catch her just in time. "Don't kill her, before you even marry her?" Huck said amusingly looking at Kai, who passed a hand through his hair with a tight lip, staring daggers at Huck.

What was the man playing at? And what in the world is wrong with the girl?

"Just what are you playing at Huck? Is this the girl you want me to marry in exchange for the g..." Buck caught him mid-sentence.

"Are you going to marry her or not?".

Huck raised his eyebrows, studying the confusion on Kai's face.

Before Kai could give his response, he was caught off guard, at the sight of the girl again in front of him, with her hands now on his face, touching the few black beards on his chin. With one hand resting under his chin, the other hand, went up to tousle his thick curly hair, brushing off the few locks that fell down his face to the side, she brought her hands down to his thick brows, massaging them smoothly, with her eyes not leaving his. She continued her actions, moving her hands along the side of his face smoothly. And for the first time in his entire life, Kai felt waves of strange emotions in his heart. Her actions made his organs scream in excitement. It looks like this girl held some kind of charm that made him compose himself. At that moment, her actions made his legs weak. If not for his pride keeping him in place, he would have been down on his knees now.

Her aqua blue eyes spoke a lot to him, depression, hurt, loneliness, pain. He has never been the type to read people's emotions just by looking at their eyes, especially women, but this one right here was something he couldn't miss. It's like her touch was doing more than magic to him, Kai subconsciously brought his hand up to return her touch. He brought his hand close up to her face and was about to put it on her cheeks when he heard her speak.

"Cute. Cute face". She steps away from him and for some reason, Kai furrows as though he wanted the girl to continue with her actions. Everyone in the room looked at them in amusement. However, Kai was not bothered as he brought his hand up to touch where the girl had just touched him, on his cheeks.

Wait! Did she just call him "cute"? He knows he is cute, no doubt about that, but sounds strange somehow to hear from her.

 

Huck, clear his throat, trying to get back everyone's attention from the emotional scene that just happened a few seconds ago.

He looked at Kai and then back at Daisy, who was now sitting on the floor, with her hands clutching her knees and her head resting on her knees, with her black hair covering her face.

"So, what do you say, Viggo? And don't try to deny it. We all just witnessed that. Are you marrying her or not?".

Huck questions with a teasing smile on his face. A smile that did not reach his eyes.

Kai, let out a puff of breath, passing a hand through his hair. Damien, Hal, and Rufus, who never said anything since their arrival, look up at him wondering if his present mood was a result of what they all witnessed, or because he was asked to marry the girl. They waited in silence for his response.

"How much gold would you offer me if I get to marry her". Kai asked instead. And the rest look at him with wide eyes. This man would surely never let go of any opportunity to make himself rich.

Huck, walk around the room in circles, his index finger tapping on his forehead. Thinking intensely.

He had just much gold, in one of his rooms, filled with enough treasures, a secret he never wanted to let out. However, he would do it as keeping the girl in the same house as the treasures, might cause him even greater problems in the future, so it was better he deal with that once and for all.

" follow me".

He ordered, heading towards the stairs with Kai, following behind him.

Damien and Hal quickly rise from their seats, but Kai lifts a hand, telling them to sit back. 

He followed up behind Huck, they passed through several doors and came to stand in front of a door having a golden look. Kai looked at the door curiously.

"What is the name of heaven!".

Kai yelled in shock, once the door swung open.
