5. The deal is done

Chapter 5.

The door swung open, revealing bags of gold, treasures, items made out of gold, and gold jewelry all scattered across the floor. He knew this part of the world was rich in gold. However, what his research failed to tell him, was the fact that this place was more than what he found on the net.

"See that, I'll give you half of what you see here. Just marry her and take her far away from here. That's it".

Kai did not bother to ask how he managed to get such possessions or why he was so bent on marrying his sister. However, his mind was fixed on the treasure in front of him looking at it calculatingly. He was going to behave as though everything was fine. And went along with his flow. If he marries the girl, he'll go back and plan on how to come and take every single thing worth it.

 

On Huck's side, he was giving his possessions to some stranger because he wanted him to get married to his crazy sister. He had his plans sorted out.

He was going to give him. When the idiot of his sister was finally settled, he was going to pay him a surprise visit with his large army during nighttime, kill every one of them, And then get back his gold and if possible, any other thing that could be of importance to him.

The two men plotted in their hearts. Talk of the heart of man being evil. You never know who to trust. Not even family. Everyone was out for their evil benefits.

"Fine. I'm going to marry her". Kai whispered. That has never crossed his mind and even if he wanted to get married, not like this. He would have loved something grand and not marriage in some small kingdom.

However, his love for riches wouldn't let him think about the decision he was about to make. "Good. Wait for me downstairs. I need to get something"

Huck continues on the stairs, leading further up. Kai, look at the door one more time, before dragging himself slowly down the stairs.  "What happened boss?".

Damien questions and Hal lets out a yarn. The latter was already feeling exhausted. It's been more than ten hours since they have been up and with nothing to eat still. And his boss was here, debating about getting rich and getting married.  Goodness! Who does that? He thought.

Kai didn't reply as he walked down the stairs in slow steps and straight down to the sofa just in front of him.

Once he was seated, he brought his hands up behind his head, with eyes wide open staring at the chandelier above him.

Before he could process his thoughts, he felt a soft touch on his lap, and unexpectedly, his brain came to an abrupt stop. It felt like the world suddenly stopped rotating leaving just unexplainable feelings moving around in his head. And of course, he could not doubt to whom that touch belonged. In the space of thirty minutes, she had made him more than familiar with her touches. 

Bringing his head down, his eyes came in contact with Daisy's hands on his lap. He looked down at the long smooth slender fingers, having long natural nails, not like those long and awful artificial nails he had seen before. The fingers rested on his lap, and with no action, he turned to look at the girl, whose head rested on the armrest of the sofa, with her other hand underneath it and her black hair falling to her back. 

Kai, resist the urge to gently squeeze her fingers and also pass a hand through her hair just like she did to him back then.

'Calm down Kai, in a matter of time, she is going to be yours and you could do all that to her. His subconsciousness reminded him.

However, the man did not know what awaited him.

"Here we go!". Huck smiled broadly, descending the stairs with a paper in his hand and two rings made out of gold. 

The others in the room stared at him, wide eyed wondering what was going on.

Damien and Hal, pass a glance between each other with confusion written on their faces, before looking over to Kai, who seemed to know what was coming. 

"Boss, are you going to do this right here and now?". Hal fixed his gaze on the man who seemed to be unfazed by the happenings. 

"Why not? It's nothing big. Let's get it done and you all go home peacefully with a new bride. What a double blessing" Huck smiled. Kai only came here for gold and now he is taking a wife along with him". Huck brought the contents of his hand and placed them in front of Kai, who stared at them, wondering if he was making the right decision. 

However, he needed the wealth. The girl could go to hell after this, for all he cares about.

"Alright, Viggo.  You see, I have already had this set for a long time because I knew a day like this would come. Here is the marriage certificate and on it, you see the two rings. It's no big deal. Let's thrash this". He pointed at the papers in front of him with full confidence and Kai nodded to them heartily.

He brought himself up from the chair he was sitting on and picked up the paper, which was on the table. As though to find any faults, he read through the paper and when he didn't seem to find what he was looking for, he picked up the pen and signed where it was supposed to be signed. During the signing process, he passes a glance at Daisy, who was now standing a few meters away from him. She looked as though she was avoiding a plague. 

"Good". Huck clapped his hand in satisfaction., motioning for Daisy to come over and put in her signature. 

A difficult task he thought, still, he was going to try somehow.

"Come here and write something.  See, you're about to get married ". He took slow and steady steps, towards the girl who stood there, biting on her pinky fingers, with her face void of emotions.  "Come over".

Huck grabbed her left hand in his, and when she didn't retaliate, he sighed in relief, because the Daisy he knew would have left everybody in that room screaming and running for their lives.  However, that was not the case today. The young girl seems rather calm and unbothered. 

She walked behind him until they reached the table and were now standing in front of Kai.  Without a word, she picked up the pen and scratched down her signature.  Huck looks at her actions in surprise.  She signs the papers without being forced to. When he was thinking of a way to make her obey and sign the papers and here she did it smoothly, with no form of hesitation. 

Luck was definitely on his side today.

At least one trouble was gone and he had just a few troubles to worry about.

Before any of them could digest what happened, Daisy already picked the rings on top of the table. She measured each one of them in her ring figure with pouted lips and an innocent face. With the last one remaining with her, she passed the other one to Kai, who watched her actions with a stunning face.

"Yours" she extended her hand over to Kai, with the ring in it. When he hesitated to take the ring from her, the girl pouted her lips yet again, this time a tear could be seen, running down her right cheek. 

Kai, pressed his lips down in a thin line, extending his hand forward to take the ring. However, the girl retracted her hand and sent it behind her.

"Show me," she said, splaying her fingers in front of him, indicating for him to do the same.

Kai shook his head in astonishment and did as he was told. Never in the history of mankind, had he ever seen himself being ordered by a woman and here he was, being ordered by a mental disorder woman. Goodness!

With his hand in the air as he was told, Daisy pushed the ring into his ring figure.  With that being done, she pushed him down with force, so much so that his hand collided with the glass table between them. Those who have been watching the show all along, held their laughter as the look on Kai's face at this time, could kill someone. 

However, he chose to let this one slide and he was not going to take that shit from her after today. 

He retrieved his hand back and wrapped them around his body as he stared at the unapologetic woman standing in front of him.

"Get us some red wine, Daisy.  Let's celebrate the new partnership ". Huck slumped on the sofa next to Kai, with a relaxed expression on his face.

 Well, it seems to him that the past months with Daisy have not taught him a good lesson as he still sent her to get them wine.
