The very next morning she woke up all alone in that comfy bed, with the sight of calming sea through the large window. She rubbed her eyes as she looked over, but of course she was all alone in that large room. She got up and realised that she had been wearing a silk night suit which he gave her last night. After the incredible last night, she couldn't help but shake off the feeling of last night. She was so embarrassed to even face Bernard. When she woke up first in his bed, she turned around to see his face. He looked so handsome and calm while sleeping. The devilish face was no more fuming. She wanted to stroke his jaw, lock her fingers in his soft hair but contained herself. He was shirtless with his perfect chest on display. She wanted to stay in his arms and feel his skin, the most irresistible urge she ever felt. But instead she slipped from his bed quietly, only embarrassed to leave his room in panties and a shirt. Her night was ruined and there was no deny in that. She couldn't keep up with the further orders any more. She just wanted to nestle back into her room and cry out her heart until she would feel light. The emotions overwhelmed her and she just hoped that she wouldn't have to face Bernard in such state or he would ask her million questions and wouldn't let go of it until that boy dies. The very next day was planned by Bernard as he wanted Veronica to meet that special woman he had been telling her about. She changed into a beautiful, light summer dress which was dark maroon in colour, reaching below her knees. Pairing them with sneakers and studs as jewellery, she looked minimal and yet elegant. She was waiting for him, taking rounds in the balcony as she walked impatiently. He told her that it was 10 minutes of work and he'll be back very soon but now almost an hour had passed and he was still not here. She fished out her phone out of her small shoulder bag and started dialling his number. He picked up on the second call. "Hello?" She said first. "Veronica?" He answered on the other side. "I'm waiting for an hour now, tell me if you're coming or not" she complained in a sarcastic manner and he sighed on the other side as he smiled. "I'm in the parking lot, can you come down?" She was leaning on to the washbasin counter, watching herself in the mirror. She knew why Bernard bought her here, to get the approval of his Aunt Clarissa so they could get married. After they came back from Aunt Clarissa's house, they had the weekday lined up. He had so much work to do and she had her pending assignments and exams. It was a regular Monday and she was busy in the library, working on the computer in a hurry. She had to submit the report before 06:00 pm. Her fingers aggressively moved on the keyboard as her eyes focused on the screen. She had to complete it early before going to her job as she didn't have much time left. A man was tied to the chair, dripping in blood from head to toe. His nails seemed to be plucked out, the man was dizzy and nauseous as Bernard had a knife in his hand. He immediately turned around as he was forced to look at who opened the door without his permission.
