From that onwards she never protested again as Bernard dropped her to university everyday and when she would get off, his driver would come to pick her up and drop at the hotel. Life became easy for her momentarily.

She did not realize how much she was getting used to all the luxuries he had provided her. Unknowingly everything was becoming a part of her life. On weekends they would spend some time talking over lunch, sometimes they would sit together in the library as he would work on his laptop and she would complete her assignments.

On late, cold nights after work, they would sit together for a cup of coffee in the lawn and gaze at the shining stars. They both started to like each other's company, as she realised that he was really a decent man and nothing grumpy as she used to think.

All he ever wanted was her presence beside him, and there were no more reasons to make their unnamed relationship complicated any further.
