She was leaning on to the washbasin counter, watching herself in the mirror. She knew why Bernard bought her here, to get the approval of his Aunt Clarissa so they could get married. But she was not ready yet!

She didn't know why she felt so uneasy about marriage, facing failure all her life, she was scared to give birth to a child. She had this belief that she will never be a good mother and that's why bearing a child was a nightmare for her. She was jumbled up in her thoughts when she was interrupted by the sudden opening of the door.

"You took a long time" he said with a low voice as he stepped towards her, while closing the door firmly on his back.

"I was just coming" She replied but he covered the distance between them in two strides, as his hand travelled up to her face and fisted her hair. Her hands clenched the edge of the counter behind her as she was pressed against it.
