Her night was ruined and there was no deny in that. She couldn't keep up with the further orders any more. She just wanted to nestle back into her room and cry out her heart until she would feel light. The emotions overwhelmed her and she just hoped that she wouldn't have to face Bernard in such state or he would ask her million questions and wouldn't let go of it until that boy dies.

Without telling anyone, she simply disappeared and went back to the penthouse. Lara welcomed her inside and she didn't even try to force a smile. Her lashes were wet and eyes were heavy, she knew smiling fake would be of no use. But luckily she didn't ask her anything.

"Is Mr Bernard home yet?" She asked Lara in case.

"Yes, he is in his study room" she pointed in the direction and Veronica got it. She couldn't go to her room anymore or he would come to her immediately. She would face him and try to hide her emotions until he would be satisfied that there is nothing wrong.
