His fingers traced down my side, slow and teasing, until he reached my thigh, he gripped it hard and lifted it higher around his waist, the change in angle had me gasping as I felt the hard nudge of his very hard and well sized shaft. “You’re sensitive,” he murmured, his voice thick with satisfaction. I wanted to give a reply, show him I was still in control but damn it, he moved and he pushed that little monster inside me with deliberate, frustrating slowness and it was like the room tilted. “Oh my…” —------------------- The day Emilia lost everything, she met a mysterious man who she ended up having a passionate night with, but it only left her longing for more. Little did she know, her forced wedding was about to bring them together again. But this time, as brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Torn between duty and desire, Emilia must decide: resist the attraction or give in to her heart's desire.

I barely knew anyone in the somber ceremony, maybe that’s why they were more concerned with paying their last respects to my mother Pamela Thompson who had abandoned us for years, rather than me who had lived with the man all my life. My eyes didn’t leave her for a second, as she played the character of a grieving widow, a handkerchief dabbing at eyes that refused to tear up. Couldn’t anyone see her for what she was? As soon as the ceremony was over, I didn’t spend another moment. I didn’t care to shake hands or accept pitying looks. I went straight back home. Back home, I sat on the edge of my bed, holding a framed picture of my father and me. My fingers traced the outline of his smiling face. He had been my whole world. And now, he was gone. The door to my room opened moments later, and Pamela majestically walked in. “We need to talk…” Pamela said, her eyes cold and unfeeling, a glass of wine in her hands. “I have nothing to say to you. When you’re satisfied, you can leave just as you came. I’ll be fine without you just as we were fine without you.” I replied, looking her straight in the eye. She didn’t need to try to get in my good books. I was going to be fine here without her and I didn’t need her to play the fake mother role now. “Oh dear, You’re coming with me, back to California.” Pamela smirked, sipping on the glass of wine. I let out a bitter laugh. “You’ve got to be kidding me right? This is my home and I don’t have to go anywhere with you.” I dreaded the idea of going anywhere with this woman. I barely knew her, she left us alone for years and now that Dad was dead, she thought she could come here and boss me around. That is never happening. “You don’t get it, do you?” She laughed dryly, her sinister eyes locked in mine. “I don’t have to force you to do anything. You’re going to do it voluntarily and even beg for more instructions.” What the fuck? I narrowed my eyes. “Why would I beg you for anything?” I asked. “Well, for one, your father was very forgetful.” Pamela started, tilting her head. I clenched my fists, she was lucky she was my mother. “And in his forgetfulness, he forgot to update his will after we parted ways. So, technically, I own everything after his passing. From the house, to the company...every single thing he left behind. Can you beat that?” She laughed again. My stomach twisted. My fists clenched. “No… that’s not possible. He left me everything. The house and the business.” This wasn’t happening to me. Pamela laughed again, a cruel sound that made my blood boil. “If you think I’m lying, ask the lawyers. The bottom line is, you don't have much of a choice. Everything is in my name and so you’ll have to do exactly as I say if you want to at least keep the house.” My heart sank, this house was the only place that held memories of my dad. And now she was threatening to take it away from me. Pamela downed the rest of her wine and set the empty glass on my nightstand. “I’ll leave you to pack your bags. We leave for California tomorrow.” Pamela turned triumphantly. My phone buzzed on the bed. I reached for it, it was Tyler, my boyfriend. Relief washed over me. I wondered how I’d explain the situation of moving to California to him. Maybe he could help me find a solution. I didn’t even bother reading the text. I called him instead. He picked on the second ring. “Babe, I…” “There’s no need to try to beg me,” he interrupted. His tone was flat, emotionless. “The relationship between us is over, I just picked this call so you don’t see me as cruel.” I blinked, then checked the caller ID again, to be sure I didn't misread the name. This was Tyler? My Tyler. “What?” My voice barely made a sound. “The relationship is over, Emilia.” he repeated. I felt like the ground had been ripped out from under me. What does he mean by the relationship is over? “Tyler, babe. I don’t understand what you’re talking about, what exactly is over. What do you mean?” “Didn't you get my text?” “I didn’t read it! Did you just—did you just freaking break up with me over a fucking text? On the day of my father’s funeral?” My voice was tensed but low. There was a long pause before he sighed. “Listen, don’t make this harder than it needs to be. We’re both adults and if I’m not feeling it anymore, I can always say I’m not.” My mind spun. What is he saying? Two days ago he was here. Right here in this room. Holding me. Kissing my forehead. Consoling me. “But you didn’t feel this way two days ago, Or even yesterday,” I said, my voice shaking. “You were here in my house, in my bedroom and you were your usual sweet self. What changed?” “I don’t want to talk about anything else. Just let it go and leave for California..” Just let it go? Something immediately clicked in my brain. California? “Wait… how did you know I was supposed to… Are you breaking up with me because of my mother? Did she get to you?” Silence My mind raced, this didn’t make any sense. Why would she make Tyler break up with me? My breath hitched. “Tyler?” “Why would you agree to that? You said you loved me, we’ve been together for years and all of a sudden. You’re breaking up with me because of my mom?” I raised my voice. “Look, just leave for California.” Click. The line went dead. Tyler hung up the phone. I tried calling him again but he wasn’t picking up my calls. I sat there, staring at the phone, my fingers trembling as I opened the text. Emilia, I’ve been holding this in for a while, I think it’s time we went our separate ways. I’m no longer interested in being weighed down. So this is it. Don’t take it the wrong way. I swallowed hard. I read them once. Then again. There was nothing I hated more at this moment than Tyler. He hadn’t even fought for our love, one sign of resistance and he was already out of the door. I sat there, motionless, as the sun slowly gave way to the moon. My father was gone, my mother now owned everything and was going to make me live under her thumb and now the only person I felt was still mine had broken up with me—abandoned me. I felt powerless and trapped. I wanted to drown out my sorrows, forget that my life was a mess, completely ruined. So I dropped everything and grabbed my car keys, I hurried out the house before Pamela could see me. The world as I knew it, was a shit hole, but I wasn’t going to sulk or cry anymore. I just wanted to lose myself, and I think I know just the perfect place to do that.“How could you do this to your brother, Lucas?” My mother confronted, her voice laced with rage as she shook her head in disappointment. It was past 9am. I was all set to leave the house, but made a quick stop at the dining table to have breakfast, when my mother showed up from the kitchen, slamming me with questions. “I didn’t raise you to be this vile, Lucas!” She exclaimed ,her voice rising. I gazed off as I continued churning the smashed pieces of bread in my mouth, with my fingers hung around the handle of the coffee cup. She continued speaking, her voice dripping in fury.“You couldn’t even spare an hour to visit your brother at the hospital.” “What has come over you?” She thundered, the veins around her neck visible, her face stern. “Have you lost your mind?”“That’s enough”, I snapped, dropping the cup of coffee against the table, a bang sound piercing the air. My gaze drifting to hers, my anger seeping to the surface. “Ethan deserves every bit of pain h
“I’m impressed with the designs”. The client commended. “But I’m afraid, the stakes are high”. “Your designs passed the first criteria, which is a great step towards getting the contract”. The client informed, his voice low and calm. I sat at the dining table, my phone pressed against my ears, as I and one of my clients discussed. “I request that the elaborated designs are sent by tomorrow, Mr. Brooks”. “Alright, I will get it sorted”. The line went dead. I sighed deeply, my mind troubled. Emilia was the one that outsourced for the designers that worked on the sketch.I should call her right away, since she has been the one discussing with the designers and also understands the scope of the project. It's only right she’s brought on board with this. I thought aloud, my fears deflated. I need this contract for the Brook’s franchise. It will increase our revenue for the month. I picked up my phone from the dining table, and then dialed Emilia’s number. Just
“I won’t let you leave without you telling me what I did wrong”. Fredrick retorted, his brows furrowed. “You owe me that at least”. I paid no attention to his outburst as I went ahead with clearing my desk in silence. “Say something Emilia”. He demanded, slamming his palm against my desk. The bang sound echoed through the room, my nerves jumpy as I jerked in my seat, my eyes narrowed in fear. My gaze drifted to his face, his eyes twitching, his palm visibly shaking. “I just don’t belong here Fredrick”, I whispered, my expression sad as I gently stood up from my seat to take my leave. Fredrick stared blankly into space, his gaze fixed on my seat. “But I….”Before he could complete his sentence, I had already gotten out of the office, shutting the door behind me. I couldn’t bear to see him suffer especially for something beyond his control. My chest panged with a dull ache, a wave of guilt washing over me as I walked down the stairs. Upon getting to the entrance o
“Is the offer still open?” I asked Fredrick, my mind in doubts about if I was doing the right thing or this was just me setting myself up. I had barely had a good sleep the previous night. My mind in conflicts about what next to do. I just got fired and in no time Tyler would come for me. Fredrick has offered me a job, one that I didn’t even apply for. I need a job badly, but is working with Fredrick what I want? My mind reeled with questions. The more I thought deeply about it, the harder it was to make a decision. How about I just put these conflicting thoughts aside and just face it. Pick up my phone. Put a call across to Fredrick, and ask if the offer was still open. Isn’t life about taking risks? The pay is huge, and I would be as free as a bird in no time, after clearing my debt. I thought to myself. “Yes, why do you ask?” His question jolted me back from my reverie. “Hold on! You want the job?” Fredrick asked, his voice dripping with excitement. “W
My world spun out of my control, my face slowly fell to the steering wheel, my consciousness fading away. The horn tooted as my head sagged forward. Darkness lingered, a high pitched whine sound glazed my ear canal, which was soon replaced with a distant blare of sirens that softly seeped in my ears. The wailing sound hovered, pulling me back, my consciousness slowly setting in. My eyelids hazily opened, my vision blurry as I slowly raised my head from the steering wheel. At first I saw nothing, just shapes of objects, then a few seconds later, my blurred vision slowly became clearer. The shapes, turning into familiar images, my reality feeling distorted. Half of my car’s bonnet was smashed into the fence, with smoke drifting from the dented bonnet of the car. The windshield shattered, with broken pieces of the glass on the dash board.I shifted my head slowly to the dented side mirror to see blood seeping from the edge of my forehead and from my nostrils. A sharp pa
Just as one would expect when getting to a bar to have some drinks at mid-day. The bar was quiet, with a few people having midday drinks. Solemn and calm instrumental music drifted softly from the speakers. I looked for an empty seat close to windows, just so I can be able to stare at the view whilst having some drinks. Just before I ordered a drink, I thought to send a text message to Jennifer, so she could at least know the latest updates with my stay at the Brooks’ franchise whenever she picks up my phone. A few seconds after I sent the text, her call came in. It felt like she had her phone close, longing to get a call or a text from me. “Emilia, are you okay? I just got your text”. “Where are you?” “I’m at the bar two streets away from the office. I answered, my voice low and calm”. “I’m so sorry Emilia”. “You know I…” “Yeah I know you warned me about my decision”. “I know”, I interrupted, cutting her words short. “Even at that, who would h
