As soon as their eyes met, shock covered his face, and Kara stumbled back on her step. She was not ready to see him. Not now, not ever. There had been feeling inside her heart that she was not ready to face yet and seeing him so suddenly just made them worse. So the next thing she did was turn around, find the nearest door, and walk out of the house. Her head was bursting with the thoughts of what she was supposed to say or do but there was no answer. She found herself in the backyard of the grand house that was covered with trees.

A small smile slipped up on Kara's lips as her hand covered Damon's. After the chaos that had covered her heart when she had been in James's room, Damon's touch just brought a feeling of calm to her. It did not make her heart pound like James's touch did, but then it did not bring any pain either. "I am happy that you are finally back for good." Damon bent his head down and left a small kiss on the bare skin on the corner of her neck. During the past years they had grown a lot more closer than they had ever been in the past. He had started caring for her more, seeing his future in her. They had never crossed the line of closeness begween their bodies, but they had grown closer emotionally. In the past three years, he had flown to meet her without telling anyone in the family whenever he could get a chance. At first it was just to check up on her and see if she was okay, but then later it had turned into a strange craving that could not get f

“Yeah, that was not enough,” James whispered and closed his eyes for some moments before opening again. His lips sliding down to her cheek, “I should have tried harder. I should have chased after you.”Kara stayed silent as she felt his touch on her body. His lips traced the path down to her lips, remembering the time when he had kissed her under the tree for the first time. He did not deepen the kiss, his lips lingered over hers for a moment before opening his mouth and nibbling her lips.“I realized I had lost you when you were not with me.” Kara’s gaze met his with tears. There was happiness in them for having him near herself after so long but sadness as well,“I don’t want to lose you again, Kara. I have been living in hell for so fucking long. I can not handle it anymore. I don’t want to ignore my feelings, give you more time or let everything remain the way it is. I am going to accept it. I am in

Kara came out of her room as she heard strong, cheery voices from outside. After eating the food she had gone to her room to sleep peacefully the whole night. The morning sun shined brightly through the curtains when she got out of the bed and came to the balcony to look outside. Her eyes instantly fell upon James and Damon who were playing basketball for different teams in the courtyard outside. There were some of their friends who were clapping and whistling in encouragement while playing alongside them.Damon's eyes met hers and he instantly smiled and waved at her to come down. She smiled at him, seeing the friendly match that was going on between both brothers. But then the smile was instantly wiped off her face as the ball suddenly hit Damon on the back of his head when James tried to snatch the ball. The force was strong and due to lack of attention towards the game, Damon immediately fell face first on the ground."Damon!" Kara shouted in panic and immed

"Nothing." James put his lips on her cheek to leave a kiss and murmured, "Just open the door. I am going out."Kara's eyebrows scrunched up in confusion at his words, "How?""The same way that I came here." he pulled back and grinned at her, "from the balcony."Kara's eyes widened in surprise. He came close to her face with a small smile on his face and continued, "I am not going to tolerate any bad mouthing against my Kara, after all."Kara looked in his eyes and saw the sincere love they held for her. Unable to meet his gaze, she turned her face away to the side. James came closer and kissed her cheek lightly, making her close her eyes at the softness of his lips."Open the door." he whispered, "I am going out."Kara nodded her head and went to unlock the door. By the time the door opened, James had already left through the balcony.****Dressed up in a yellow, knee length dress, Kara walked down the stairs and saw Damon sitt
