The wolf had gone in for the killing blow, aiming for her throat. Thankfully Izzie had managed to flinch away, but not far enough as the wolf's teeth sank deep into her shoulder. Pain engulfed her as she felt the sickening crunch of bone beneath its powerful jaws.Her hands grasped wildly at its mouth, trying to prise it off of her but it only made it bite harder.
