I still felt it so strange, even as I now involuntarily drew closer to where he stood, how absolute and consuming the love I felt for this criminal was; it was unadulterated, electric, encompassing; And the most surreal of all—I realised as he plucked off the blunt from between his lips and gave a small sigh, his mesmerised eyes locking with mine all though—it was mutual. The degree of craze I felt for him was the same he felt right back, if not more. There and then, regardless of toxicity or otherwises, I realised we were meant to be together, perfecting our imperfections as partners.  We were both scarred by our pasts as well as we were worlds apart and dwelling on those shortcomings will inevitably make us hurt one another over and over, until we both learn how to be accepting of who we were and move on to the next stage. That was the reason I'd agreed, after hugging Mike so close that I could breathe in his exhale, fo

Almighty Mike:It wasn't fair how I couldn't even stay mad at this woman for twenty four hours, without her getting to find out about a wrongdoing of mine that would require that I apologised to her. This time though, I was in no mood to indulge in her emotional blackmail, even though I was clearly at fault. Maybe her leaving by day break would be for the benefit of all parties  involved. I was tired of dealing with her baseless tantrums, I wanted to chill and relax for a change. That was my way of justifying the stupidity that'd prompted me to convince her into vacationing in the same state where the Arch Angel's were planning to have the biggest get-together in the history of get together. I refused to allow myself to feel bad for my selfishness. Well all that was until I woke up with a start in the middle of the night; covered in cold sweat, my heart beating thrice its normal pace. I'd had a familiar

Mokunfayo Badmus:"As much as I hate to bring this up, Mokunfayo, you are any better than any of us murderers. You can stop judging, it only makes you reek of the one thing you claim to hate the most –hypocrisy." I was shocked to a standstill for a full minute. When I finally gathered my wits about me and turned around, Mike looked like he was already regretting what he'd said, but that only lasted for a split second before he walked towards and past me into the same closet I was heading towards. I absent-mindedly found the nearest seat and plopped down on it, still feeling very surprised. Mike didn't need to mention a name in his argument, he didn't need to say that I had murdered someone in the cruelest manner not even people like him would have thought of, I already

Mokunfayo Badmus:There was tension in the air; I could tell by the way Mike had almost had a row with me because I refused his offer of buying me a new dress. I could tell by the tense way he looked at me when I showed up in his limo and said my simple floral gown was not appropriate for the event we were attending. He himself was all decked up in a smart, sky blue double breasted tuxedo, but I still wasn't convinced that such fabulousness was needed in a confraternity get together that was to happen at a club; it still sounded as bizarre as when Mike first told me it was a formal event with a corporate setting. What was even more bizarre now, was Mike's hesitance to get out of his vehicle, coupled with the visible nervousness that had him clenching and unclenching his knuckles since we got here several minutes ago.

I wanted to know what was inside the multi-storey club that brought out this side of Mike, but I did not pressure him for us to head

Mokunfayo Badmus:Mike had given me a cold shoulder all afternoon. I think it had something to do withme refusing to wear the pricey scrap of material he'd ordered earlier without first consulting me. He had been strongly against the casual floral gown I'd insisted on rocking with brown sandals, he'd called it inappropriate, and lower than the standard of the event we were attending. I refused to take offense and firmly told him that if I was going to see his 'associates', I certainly wasn't going to show up looking like a woman of the night. He had grumbled about me regretting my decision, before going on to deck himself up  in a smart, sky blue double breasted tuxedo with beltless pants to match, ombre dress shoes, with a blue beret that carried the insignia of ArchAngels.
