OREL POVWe got back to the my major army section, the place where I mainly spend most of my year, it was home for me, my tent was bigger here than in the temporary settlement closed to the capital and it was more luxurious, I have a feeling that Themis was going to like this place much, I turned to look at my wife to see her looking weary, she is not used to being in the saddle for long and she kept on rubbing her eyes and gripping the reins of Tyra so tight as if that was the only thing keeping her on the saddle, I watched her as she got the first look of my army, her eyes widened in shock and then became shuttered as if it was at this exact moment she was realizing the extent of the power I have as the warlord of the Dar empire. I came down from Stormpacer saddle as I slapped his flank and he raced off to the stables where I am sure that he had missed his space, I walked to Tyra and helped Themis to come down from her saddle alth

Orel left the bed yesterday night.  I don’t know how I knew of this but I knew it was true, I wondered what he left the bed for but I didn’t say anything as he kissed my nose this time and told me that I will meet him at noon so that we could spend time together and that what happened yesterday will not take place today since he had informed everybody in the camp of my status, then he ordered me back to sleep.  I slept with a smile because I was getting used to him, with his mood and attitude, normally if it was someone from my tribe trying to pull such a stunt on me by ordering me around, I would have retaliated and it would not have been nice but with Orel, he made me feel safe with his actions, like I was cherished and well-loved although I know better than to give my heart to anybody. Including my husband, my thinking would be warped and centered on him that I will not be able to make the

The night was not funny at all.  A huge storm rolled in when me and Orel were already in bed and it was so bad that some tent were being ripped out of their location.  Orel was called to help and for me not to be alone, Dyane was escorted to my tent where we both sat silently as we waited for the storms to be over, there was not much Orel could do at that moment other than to minimize the damage being done.  The rebuilding will be done after the storm but that was not what plagued me. What plagued me was the fact that there were warriors caught out in the rain and they must be very weary, with a storm like this, not all would return. I had already started my mourning of them. “My lady, the warlord will be okay.” Dyane said when she noticed my tears. I shook my head as I answered her “You would not understand.”

The next day, I woke up with Orel still beside me in the bed. I was sore. I should have paid attention when he said that the next step of our relationship could start, what was I expecting? Wooing? I was already his wife. Still I was shocked that he was still beside me, normally he would have been gone since dawn.  “Stop acting as if you are still sleeping wife.” Orel sleep filled voice said a moment before his hand dragged my body more closely to his.“I was not acting” I lied through my teeth, I was acting. “Today, we will bathe together this morning then have breakfast before joining others.” Orel said ignoring my earlier statement.“I should have known that the reason you remained behind was to drag me there and not for my company.” I grumbled as Orel smiled.“The reason why I remained behind is to spend time with you.” He said as his hand drifted to my butt before he grabbed it

OREL POV      Gwenn matched into the tent with anger written all over her face. “What’s wrong?” Elison asked getting tensed at the fact that’s she was angry. I was tensed too, no matter how angry Gwenn makes me with her childish attitude, it doesn’t change the fact that I am used to always protecting her and keeping her happy. “Your wife doesn’t know about Warriors bonding with their blade. And I would not be surprised if she picked that sword that you showed me was hers because she is vain. She and the sword are not in accordance at all. She nearly split her skull open with her own sword.” Gwenn ranted as me and Elison settled in with the others as we waited for her to steam down. You do not interrupt her while she was in a mood, she might attack you just to pour her frustration out on you.“How can she be married to you for more than a week and have not noticed that you and your sword ar
