More phone calls…“So, The Mastermind knows that The Fixer is alive?””Yeah, but he doesn’t know that bloody much about it. Seems like someone tipped him off and now they’re holding that fucking fracas over my head!””Alright, I would need to warn The Fixer but he was very specific with his instructions that I am not to call him. He needs to contact me first.””Damn it, so our plan ain’t gonna be worth shit because of this? Is that what you’re saying, brother?””No, I believe we can still use this to our advantage. Just give me time and don’t rock the boat. You need to give them the illusion that you’re still loyal to them.””Well, I told them that I’ll spill the beans if they keep rubbing me the wrong way.””That’s fine since they do perceive you as the rebellious powder keg that no one can control. My only advice is you stay put and try to get as much info as you can without them being suspicious.””And what about you? If he even gets a damn whiff of what you already know brother…””

In a patient’s room somewhere in a far-off medical facility… “…and he’s been sedated for more than a week now. Most of his skin grafts and wounds have already healed enough for his bandages to be removed. Beyond that, we only know this John Doe as the last patient accepted into the clinic while the good Doctor was still alive.””Yet, there are staff members who mentioned that he came in a day after Doctor Mendez passed away."”I’m sorry but whoever those are, they are mistaken. I was the one assigned to this case personally by our Head Doctor himself. I took the call the night before the supposed kidnapping and murder of my employer.””Alright Doc. Just warning you that you may be held in contempt if your story doesn’t match the records we find.””You can check all our records and you will see that everything is as I say. Are we done?””Yes we are and thanks again. And if I ask an affidavit from you about your statement?””I will willingly give it. Please, this way, Officer… what was

The Major was sitting silently in the limo with the Detective as he listened intently to the recording that he received on his phone via a pair of wired earphones. Unfortunately, he still can't get the hang of Bluetooth earplugs so he's happy with his "Jurassic" setup.Like the longtime friend who he's riding with, they follow the old adage "If it's not broke don't fix it" so they are quite content to just stick with what they're familiar with. And the women he could hear in the recording are very familiar females that were both close to her heart. They are, after all, family. The thing is, this is the kind of information that he cannot just release to just anyone within his circle of close contacts or even trusted family members. Yes, The Detective can definitely listen to this but not the last member of the Trinity. For now, he needs to be kept unaware of this. No telling what that loose cannon would do if he found out about this fact."Anything interesting from our Stalker slash H

"Here is the final guest list Madame. Please go through it for a final check.""Yes, everything is in order. And the rest of our arrangements are all a go despite the very short timeline?""Madame, your business's anniversary party have all been celebrated in the same month without fail. I doubt that our suppliers, sponsors, and attendees will not be aware of your upcoming celebration.""Well, we have given them hints of the party since last month so yes, it would be quite a shame if they've not prepared themselves for this special occasion.""To be honest, I am quite impressed at your courage to continue with your annual event despite the problematic situations we're facing at the Resort.""Darling Rina, if we don't hold this party, we will be considered weak, not just by our allies but our competitors. And I have no intention of backing out of our responsibilities despite the problems that we're currently facing.""Very true, my dear friend. Besides, you seem to have included your pl

Lyra had just finished checking papers when a particular email caught her attention. The notification clearly stated the source and she was looking forward to receiving it. Good thing I've been excused by Bien from work today. Though it's probably because he doesn't want to talk about my request... and my mom's request... and his mom's requests from me and my mom... damn, this is all so messy for him right now. He really does need a break...She opens the email and there it was... An "invitation" by the Deans of their college to explain a certain "irregularity" that has been reported to them by an "anonymous" source. It was all in legalese and she can feel the general mood of indignant sentiments underlying the supposedly formal language. Yes, and now I feel that I need a break too.+++++++++Her memory of their talk over Madame Belle's request was anything but comfortable for her and definitely not for him. He even chose to speak to her about it in one of the 24-hour restaurants ne
