Ryan arrived at the house, with various gifts and some snacks, approaching her apartment before taking a deep breath. He rang the doorbell, there was no answer. He knocked and there was still no answer. He was getting discouraged already.   "Ruby?" He called out and still, nothing. He took a deep breath before turning the doorknob, letting himself in. He dropped everything behind the door, on the floor as he looked around the living room.   "Rubes?" He called out as he looked around the room, his voice came down to a whisper as his eyes fell on the figure, crouched on the floor as she held onto herself, he pulled his shoes off, his feet clad in a pair of socks as he advanced towards the sleeping lady. 

A few weeks had passed by and Attracta was carried away by parties and clubs she'd been attending with Jennifer and Claire. Dennis skipped out sometimes and the few times he'd agreed to go were just to watch over her. The cycle was getting tiring.    She'd also been neglecting her academics, claiming she rather have her notes in pictures on her phone than writing them by hand. She barely attended classes due to hangovers and she had a friend in the department who she thought could help her out with her attendance, hence her laid back nonchalant habits.    Dennis went over his whole argument before heading to her room. He rapped his knuckles against the door.

"She'd be so excited to see you." Christy said to Jeffrey.   "I hope so." They alighted from the car together before walking into the house, hand in hand. Rose was vacuuming the center rug as they  walked in. She looked up at the intruders.   "Mum, Dad!" She screamed as she ran to embrace the duo. Her father had open arms waiting for her.   "I missed you dad." She said as she wrapped her arms around her father.   "I missed you too Rosie." 

"We're really not going to speak to each other?" Dennis asked and she ignored as she slid her earphones on.   "I guess that's a no then." He sighed as he took a seat next to her for the journey back to Lagos. He reached for her hand.   "Don't you dare." She mumbled and he almost retracted it. He took the bold step and went in again this time, actually holding her left hand as she stared outside the window. She laid her head on the headrest and slipped her phone into her cross body bag.    Halfway into the trip, she was knocked out, slow, gentle music played in her ears. In her state of sleep, she intertwined their joint hands, oblivious to what she did.    He gave a gentle smile as he stared at her subcons
