Chapter 40: All is grey
Olivia POV   After the battle, we were instructed to cut the trip short and return home. Mandy and James surprised everyone when they announced to everyone that they’re mates, so now everyone was preparing for a celebration in honor of our future flock Alpha and Luna. I was happy for them but also envious because they had it easier than both Lizzy and I. Why we were destined to other shifters, who weren’t even Sirens, was beyond my knowledge. Lizzy recovered from her injuries well, and when she woke up, she had a talk with Logan in private, but I didn’t know what they said.  School was back in session, and part of me was happy about it since the Opal pack enrolled in our school and we got to see all of our friends again.  I w

Chapter 41: Crashing to the party
Olivia POV   “I can’t believe he didn’t tell me anything!”  Mandy had been complaining since the moment we left my house when Damon picked us up. She even marched into James’s room and went all Hulk on him for not telling her that he knew that Marcus was my mate. Silly, I know. “It’s not that big of a deal, Mandy,” I tried, but she gave the look that said don’t you use that on me. Damon coughed to cover up his chuckling, which earned him a glare from me. “Oh geez. He knows because I told him the day of the attack, so give him break, will you?”  Damon looked through the rearview mirror to the back seat where Mandy and I were sitting. Zen was silently sitting next to us, listening to his music on this phone. Lucky guy.

Chapter 42: Shattered
Olivia POV   This was bad… so bad.   I couldn’t stop repeating the sentence in my head, hearing the voices cheer as they prepared to start counting to five. What was I supposed to do? Oh dear Goddess, please help me get out of this mess. “Should we start from five and count downwards or count from one to five?” I heard someone ask and I groaned silently, thinking to myself that it doesn’t matter where they start the countdown as the results are the same, and that is not a good situation for a little fish like me. I tried to figure out a way to get out of this situation quickly, and then I heard the worst first number that made me freeze. “Let’s start at five and count downwards. Ready guys?” the same guy said, and I cursed at myself, and Mandy and Damon for that matter for putting me in

Chapter 43: Growing up
Two years later It has been two years since that horrible birthday where I felt as my heart was being ripped out from my chest. After my fall and crying, the moment I saw Tyson I just didn’t care what he was doing there, why, or even how he knew where to find me.He carried me all the way in his arms, back home.My parents were out of their minds from worry, trying to ask me what happened the day after, but I didn’t speak about it, I felt totally numb.Nights were the hardest. Every time I would lay down in my bed, closing my eyes, I would see his face, hear his voice, it was torture. In school, we avoided each other at some poin

Chapter 44: Girl talk
“O, my Goddess! I can’t believe you agreed.” Mandy said raising her arms up in the air in disbelief as she was walking back and forth inside my room.I rolled my eyes at her, “What was I supposed to say? And I said ‘friendly’ not couples like a date so spare me your nagging Mandy.”Looking inside my closet, I tried to find the dress I had in my mind to wear for tonight.Yes, it was Saturday; the week flew by so fast I barely managed to blink with all my studies and assignments I had to do.“What got you to say yes after two years, Ollie?” Mandy stopped walking and looked at me with her eyes narrowed.

Chapter 45: La Vita
Standing there in my room with my mouth gaped, I stared at Lizzy, feeling stunned by her words. She said it so casually, like oh they are back.Oh my Goddess… my eyes widened when it dawned on me, Marcus is back. O no.“Lizzy…” I started to say but was cut off by the front door doorbell ring.At the next moment, I heard my mom call my name, “Ollie! Tyson just came to pick you up, dear.”Exhaling a breath, I answered, “I will be right down in a second.”Lizzy approached me and asked me in a hushed voice, “Are you sure you are doing the right thing?”I was annoyed already by e

Chapter 46: Family gathering
Marcus POV I’ve stood there frozen to my place, just looking at her, not believing with my eyes that after so much time I am here, seeing her again.Yes, I know it was no one else’s fault but my own for pushing her away, and I tried to move on, not to mention that Shadow was giving me a hell of a time since the moment those words left my mouth.I took a better look at her beautiful face; she was more beautiful than I remember, all grown up but captivating.Looking over at her, taking her in, I noticed she is doing the same. And it made Shadow rise up his head and wave his tail. But then he started growling inside my head, and I felt him pushing at the barrier to take over the control and that’s when I realized why.

Chapter 47: Restless
Ughh… I am going crazy! And my Siren is definitely not helping at all. She is acting like she is in heat, and I barely can manage to hold my own hormones going crazy whenever I would see him or pass by him or just smell him. Ughh… why did he have to come back? It has been days since my date with Tyson and I was furious and at the same time thankful that we left, but I told him off as soon as he brought me back home, so now I am giving him a silent treatment. Who does he think he is that I would allow him to manhandle me as he did, dragging me out then throwing me over his shoulder and placed in the car? Hell no! So that is why he is on the col

Chapter 48: The Starlight - Part 1.
Everything around me was like in a rush. I was sitting down at my vanity, while Mandy was doing my hair, while Annie was doing Lizzy her makeup. We were getting ready for our girl’s night out, all of us already dressed up and doing the finishing touches.I couldn’t get my mind off from that kiss. But worst was that fear that gripped onto my heart, knowing he wants to talk with me.I didn’t know what it would be about, but my suspicion was that it is about his upcoming Alpha ceremony and our still unbroken bond we share.“It will be alright Ollie.” I heard Aurora’s voice in my head that spoke with clear confidence, but I still couldn’t shake away the fear of rejection.“How could

Looking around in the dark alley, I could feel my heart beating fast in my chest.O dear Goddess, what came over me?!Deciding I will go left, I made two steps before I could feel a hand holding my elbow, while tingles erupted all over my body.“Olivia?” Marcus’s voice sounded so gentle and worried, and just by that sound I couldn’t help myself but to turn my head and look at him.I was already feeling like I was in heat, and looking at him, in the darkness of the alley, so tall and strong, made my fight against my own crazed overheated body to be almost impossible.“Olivia, just stop, please.” He said to me, but I felt the fear and the pain in my heart, the same one I felt when he said he
