Chapter 10
Jasmine above..   Song: Fireboy DML - Jealous.   Zara.   What Jasmine said rang in my head over and over again.   His fiancee. His fiancee. His fiancee?!   That had to be a joke. She couldn't possibly be making sense.   Because if he was engaged that meant that he was trying to... to make me a side chick.   Mbanu (No!)   I could already feel my heart breaking, piece by piece like a collapsing house. But I kept my cool and acted like it was nothing.   I looked at her stretched out hand and swiftly looked away from it. I was irritated already.. She got the message and withdrew her hand.   I looked at Aminu and he was still staring at her.   Jasmine what's the matter with you." Aminu almost yelled but kept his voice down, noticing that we were in public.

Chapter 11
Tonye above... Song: Taylor Swift - Breathe. Zara. I burst into the bathroom door of the hotel and stood in front of the mirror, breathing wildly like I had just run a marathon. The tears were flowing freely now. I felt like I was stabbed in the heart. I hadn't ever been this hurt because of a guy. I had only been in two bad relationships. One ended when I found out he was cheating on me, while the second one excommunicated me after he slept with me. But none of them hurt me the way this had. He had a whole family on the side and... It felt like there were bricks on my chest. I couldn't breathe. I felt two soft hands wrap around my shoulders. My head was down but I couldn't find the energy to bring it up to see who it was. "Breathe" a female voice cooed with a very thick British accent. "Breathe"

Barbara 'Lotanna' above..  Song: Meghan Trainor - Badass Woman. Zara. I got down from the car quickly and stalked towards Aminu. I was blown away by him waiting the whole night but still angry the fact that he didn't go home like I told him to. This little gesture of his was forcing me to talk to him. I got to him, giving him a stone cold stare. His posture straightened when he saw me coming. He looked sad. He wasn't the lively, cocky, arrogant Aminu I knew. Now he looked like a little boy. "What are you doing here?" I asked him angrily. He sighed and scratched his nose. "I told you I wouldn't leave till you talk to me." He said casually. I could tell he was trying to mask the fatigue in his voice. I shook my head frowning at him "So you slept in your freaking car? Are you insane?" I yelled

Chapter 13
Zara. Song: Patoranking ft Wizkid : This Kind Love. I stood with Aminu in the elevator at his company, Garba corp. I fought all urges to look at him. He stubbornly insisted that he shows me my office while I'm here. We stood side by side in an awkward silence, trying to ignore the current prickling in the air. It was a private elevator but it felt so hot like it was crowded. We heard the ding of the elevator, indicating that we were on the fifteenth floor. The hallway was very quiet as though everyone was on a holiday. I followed Aminu as we reach a door I recognized as his office door. I wondered why he was taking me to his office. But I figured it was a detour. We walked through the doors and we were greeted by his assistant who wasn't at all familiar. This was a different guy who didn't seem as rude as the one I met the other day. I was sure his rudeness got him fired.

Chapter 14
Zara. I sat in Aminu's lap as we watched Hip Tv music videos. It was a top ten countdown for the best videos of the week and they were currently playing 'Blow my mind'  by Davido and Chris Brown, which was number two on the countdown. As it played, Aminu buried his face in the crook of my neck, burying kisses all over which made my heart flutter as he sang along... 'Wanna drink from your water, give me  a cup. I don't just want a sip. I wanna steal your love, I'm guilty of it. I don't give a shit!' I moaned at the sound of his melodious voice that was creating a pool between my legs "mmm your voice is amazing."  "I know" he said smugly.  "So arrogant" I said feigning disgust. "But you love it don't you?" He sang, grinning at me.

Chapter 15
Zara. "I love her" he said and my jaw dropped on the floor. "What?" I breathed. I looked at Aminu to see if there was any sign that he said it just to get Louis off our backs, but there was none. He looked mighty serious. At the sound of my voice he looked at me and then looked back to Louis who had stopped pacing.  "I love your cousin. I would never hurt her, you know me." He repeated, walking closer to Louis. I was still scared that Louis would surprise us and throw a punch. Louis rubbed his chin in thought "Okay but you should have told me first man. Not cool" he said much calmer now and I let out a breath i'd been holding. Louis smiles at Aminu then looked at me "But effective immediately Chizaram you're coming back to the office."

Chapter 16
Zara POV I was back in my office and to be honest, I kind of missed my space. Aminu making me stay in his office with him brought out a claustrophobia I didn't know that I had. Knowing that he had his eyes on me the entire time made me nervous to no end. I liked it and hated it at the same time.  There wasn't much work to do on my desk today so I was idle. Just reminiscing the good times Aminu and I had in his office. It was the best time ever but it had to end at some point. Even with the fact that we were so into each other, we were distracting each other as well. With what Aminu had told me about his brother Patrick wanting to be CEO and sabotage him, it was important that he had optimum concentration so it was best that I had left. A knock on my door brought me out of my thoughts. "Yes, come in" I turned out to be my friend Tanna who was now the hea

Chapter 17.
Zara My mouth went dry. My throat was coarse. That moment when Nonso said those words was the very moment I knew that I fucked up. I couldn't help but think of how Louis must be resenting me for what I did to Lola. But that should not have made her work for the enemy. Louis told me all about them. How they tried to poach most of their staff with mouth watering benefits, how their boss was hitting on Lola who's his fiancée and now she's working for them? That has to be the most disloyal shit ever. "Fuck" I exclaimed before I could catch myself. I immediately started worrying for Louis. Where was he and what was he doing "Where's Louis?" I asked Nonso. "He went home rather furious. I think you should go to him. He needs someone around because it's really not good when he's angry." Nonso said with his head down rather timidly, like he was saying things he shouldn't. I went into panic mode at his words. I turned back

Chapter 18.
Zara Surprised was an understatement as to how I felt when Louis hugged me. I was expecting shouting, yelling and cursing. That hug really took me aback and I wondered what was going through his mind. Was he angry? Did he blame me? I felt so much joy at his embrace and hoped that it wouldn't go down hill from there. I returned the hug, gently rubbing on his back to sooth him because I knew he needed it. My actions made him tighten his embrace. I was so sad seeing him this way and I knew why. In as much as I didn't like Lola I knew that he loved her dearly. I waited for him to pull away first and when he did, I led him to sit in the lounge area of the study with Aminu trailing behind us and taking a seat. The study looked almost exactly like his office at the company with the only difference being the color of the chairs which were grey instead of black. The set up was the same. "I'm so sorry about th

Chapter 19
Zara We all walked into the club which was bustling with people. Tanna and Tiara whom Tayo has called earlier were by my side with the guys trailing behind us. The music was so loud that I was sure I would have lost my hearing if not for the ear muffs they gave us at the door to lessen the intensity of the sound.  This was my first time coming here and I was in awe of how beautiful and luxurious this place was. Louis did a very good job with the place and it seemed to be popular because they had stopped admitting people in because of the crowd. Louis came up front and lead us to the VIP section which was less crowded and more chill than the rest of the club and as an ambivert that I was, this suited me perfectly. Although the lights were dim enough, we could still see where we were going. Once we were seated, Louis ordered us some drinks while we social
