The road to Kate's house is a lonely road with fewer cars passing on it since Dave's street is usually not a busy place.Lionel glanced thoughtfully for a while as he followed keenly after the car, thinking about what to do."What should I do?" he mumbled, looking around in the car when his eyes spotted his phone. He quickly reached for it. "Let me try calling her," he muttered, searching for Riley's number."What if she doesn't pick?" a voice whispered in his mind then he suddenly paused for a while."I still have to try," he uttered, dialing Riley's number. The first call went through but she didn't pick up."Pick up Riley..., at least for this last time," he mumbled nervously as he kept calling.Riley was still lost in thoughts and pissed off why everybody is telling her what to do and what not to do and didn't hear her phone ringing."This is driving me crazy," she mumbled, slightly brushing her hand in her hair as she gl

Riley was shuffling anxiously in the hall when the door slammed open with Kate, Loretta, and Nancy rushing in, followed by Mr. Louis."Kate..." she mumbled as she rushed towards them."Oh Riley..," muttered Kate as she hugged her."Are you okay?" she queried."Yes I am Kate.. but Lionel is not," she uttered as she drew back from the hug."Don't worry Riley, he is going to be fine. We brought the drugs and Kate was also able to convince Mr. Louis to come with us," said Loretta as she gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "Okay Lore..here, follow me," she uttered hastily as she trolled to her room, followed by Kate, Loretta, Nancy, and Mr. Louis."Uncle, they are here," she muttered as she pushed the door open."That's great," he answered as he stood up from the bed."Please, come in," he added.Kate, Loretta, Nancy, Riley, and Mr. Louis strolled to the room and stood beside Lionel."Here, let me," uttered

Lionel was coming out of the washroom slightly grimacing in pain when he noticed Riley on the phone. He instantaneously slowed down his pace, listening in keenly to the conversation, wondering who it could be with the fierce expression on Riley's face."I'm going to make you pay for every pain you've caused my family, Ni..chole." Lionel on hearing this, quickly rushed to Riley despite the pains he was going through, snatching the phone from Riley's ear."What are you doing Riley?" he uttered, hanging up the call."Do you think this is the right time? What if she plans something else? Don't you think you're giving her the chance to escape once again? Argh!" he grimaced in pain, holding his ribs.Riley rushed to his end, "Are you okay?" she queried, helping him to sit on the bed."Yeah, I think."Riley noticed the blood on the bandage around his wounds jolted up, startled."Oh my God, you're bleeding," she exclaimed with her eyes fix

Loretta, Nancy, and Kate rushed to the car pack."Let's go in my car," uttered Kate, rushing to the driver's side of the car. Loretta and Nancy instantly rushed to the opposite doors of the car as they waited for Kate to unlock it. "Get in," mumbled Kate, sliding into her seat. They both got in and Kate sped off after a short while."How can someone be this heartless and cunning?" queried Loretta. "I just don't get it, Lor. Nichole is a hell of a person, she doesn't even deserve to live among humans," replied Nancy. "I know right? Anyway, Loretta, is Uncle Lian's line going through?" uttered Kate. "Yes, but he hasn't answered yet." "Okay, Okay, keep trying. I believe we will get him."Shortly after Kate's reply, Lian answered the call. "Oh, he finally answered," uttered Loretta hastily to Nancy and Kate before getting back on phone. "Hello..." came Lian's voice on the phone. "Uncle Lian, this is Loretta. Are you with Auntie and Lionel?" "Uhm...no... but I left them at home n

It's been a month now since Riley's encounter with the goons and Lionel's attack. Lionel is fully healed now and he, together with Riley, her mother and Uncle have found a new hideout away from Nichole to be able to plan their attack on her. Kate was the one who secured this new home for them. It wasn't that big like their old apartment but was still helpful."Hope you guys can manage this," uttered Kate as she glided into the house, followed by Riley, Lionel, Lian, and Rosita.Their eyes went scanning around."This place is beautiful Kate, thanks so much," said Riley, hugging her."This is nothing Riley, what are friends for? Hope you find yourselves comfortable. It's the least I can do for you." she replied as she drew back from the hug, holding Riley's hands." I don't know how much to thank you, Kate," said Rosita, drawing both Kate and Riley's attention to her."It's nothing Aunt, I'm glad I could help you guys. You're like a family to me
