The Unpredicted

Riley was still gazing keenly at Lionel when the door slowly cracked open with Lian walking in.

"Are you asleep?" 

"No Uncle, just keeping an eye on him. I hope he gets better soon."

"He will dear, Mr. Louis assured me that he is out of danger now. I believe he will be able to gain back consciousness by tomorrow."

"Okay Uncle."

"Don't worry too much dear. Anyway, I have to go now. Your mother will be discharged from the hospital today and checking from the time," he mumbled, looking down at his watch.

"It's already 3 am now."

"But it's still early uncle, why not wait for the day to break?"

"It's alright sweetheart, I'm going to be fine. Moreover, your mother might be needing us. At least, someone has to be beside her."
