“Master Percus! Once the loud noise reached Rex’s ears, he immediately stiffened his body and began to scan the crowd for the source. Lacey, seeing Rex being distracted by something, took this opportunity to dash forward with a test stab, staying ready with her shield to block any attack Rex might use if he was faking. Seeing Lacey jump forward out of the corner of his eye, he quickly reacted, using the edge of his sword to push Lacey’s attack away and giving Lacey an annoyed grunt, lazily swinging at her with the blade’s edge, she easily blocked the attack with her shield and stepped backward. ‘Something is wrong, he is much faster and stronger than this, I expected much more resistance’ Lacey thought, seeing Rex’s eyes constantly darting around as if searching for something.
