Chapter 106

“Rex, it's time to leave for the arena" Ley said, leaning over and placing a hand on Rex’s shoulder.

“Far out, that went quickly” Rex huffed, opening his eyes.

After the sparring match with Alex, Rex had decided to grab a cushion from one of the chairs they had moved and was sitting on his heels near the window meditating, he found it allowed him to slow his breathing and after a while his mind would slow, instead of running a hundred miles an hour as it did constantly in his waking hours.

“It did indeed, it is time to go” Ley repeated with a smile.

With a nod, Rex began to stand, groaning a little, “My muscles ache” he complained.

“You have been like that for close to two hours, I am not surprised” Ley chuckled, leading the way around towards the back door, Rex falling behind a little, stretching as he walked.

“You do know we can take the front door” Rex reminded Ley, using his thumb to point towards the front entrance.
