Chapter 11
The familiar manly scent that travels to my nostrils which drugged my entire system. The way he talks. His baritone voice. His endearment to me. His stand. His acts. His everything. Surely, the living ghost of my past. Our world stopped on the corner of this hall. Loud drums and music adopts our silence. It was only him and me along with our racing heartbeats. Until his glittering fascinating blue eyes which used to be my favorite spot, locked to mine.  "I'm not, Amber. I'm not. I'm alive and breathing here across you. I survived for you. I fought life and death for you. I gambled everything… All for you." His voice cracked and in an instant my tears streamed down to my face.  The hate and fear that lurked in me for a long time suddenly vanished away, exchanged by longing and sorrow. I missed him so much. Time and distance separated us but my traitor heart still recognised him. Still wants him and still adoring him.

Chapter 12
After escaping on that bloody bar, I immediately head straight to our hotel room and hastily locked the door. Elaine was confused about my look and moves  especially when she noticed that Barack was not with me going back there. I explained everything to her which made her gawk. I am starting to get paranoid again.

Chapter 13
"So what are you doing here?" My eyebrows scrunch in confusion when Celestine croaked out.  "Uh— because… It's still my house and my room?" I replied. Thunder on her side chuckled while she rolled her eyes for the nth time.  "Whatever. I am starting to think and feel that you want to sort things out with Blake."  "Wait, what?!" I screeched.  "Isn't it?" she asked with a playful grin.  "Hell, no!" I immediately replied, defensively.  She fixed her seat then crossed her arms over her swollen abdomen. "Oh, so why are you here?" she repeated the question once again.  I groaned in irritation. "Because it's my house!" I said before I shot them a cold stare and continued with exasperation. "Wait, do you want me to leave now? Did I disturb the both of you here in MY room?"

Chapter 14
Bucket of extremely cold water splashed on my face causing me to be rooted on my seat while meeting his pair of blue eyes. My heartbeat raced along with my heavy breathing. I'm hyperventilating! I am feeling of fainting very soon.  "Yzabelle, meet Engineer Hernandez," Barack suddenly croaked out, disturbing my thoughts.  "Huh? Ah, oh, yes. Hello," I replied, stammering. Then, I looked away to avoid their gazes.  "Good afternoon, beautiful lady. I'm Blake and you are?"  I lifted a view with my scrunched eyebrow. The jerk was grinning at me, extending an arm. We remained on that picture for a while until I realised that Barack and Ezekiel were also standing, looking at me, confused. I stood up and pulled some courage before I accepted his soft warm hand. "Yzabelle, Mr. Santiolle's fiancée. Nice meeting you, Mr," I replied.  "Your hand is cold and sha

Chapter 15
I cupped my red face while watching its reflection on the wide mirror. It was so embarrassing to let them see my horrible face as red as a tomato! I immediately fixed it up with my powder then added a little shade on my lipstick.  My curly brown hair was a bit messy so I tied it in a ponytail and pulled it up. But, I switched it back to its original style as it doesn't fit on my three quarter sleeve black V-neck dress which was below knee level.  I heaved a deep breath and practiced a smile when I finished my thing then my phone suddenly rang.  "Hello?"  "Mom, Aunt Celestine wants to talk to you!" Ethan's loud voice squealed on the other line.  "Yes, sure. Give the phone to her, baby," I replied.  A smile suddenly made its way to my lips when I heard a short faint-voice on their end.  "Please?"

Chapter 16
Holding a cup of hot coffee, I tiptoed the couch where Barack was sitting, reading a magazine. I placed the cup on the coffee table before I sat beside him. "Here's your coffee, Mi Amor." I yawned while uttering the sentence.  He looked at me with his shaking head as he traced my swollen eyes. "You didn't sleep well," he commented. I sighed as a response then rested my head on his shoulder.  I was actually having a hard time sleeping last night without Ethan's presence on my side or at least in my sight before I slept. Celestine called last night telling me that my son will stay there for his safety, I did not agree at first but Celestine's explanations convinced me. I wasn't at ease for the whole night thinking about my son who was sleeping away from me.  "I miss my son," I whispered. He tucked the escape strands of my hair to my ear and looked at me in disbelief. "Come on, Yzabelle.

Chapter 17
"Well, I guess, if you love each other, we won't be a hurdle anymore. We already learned our lessons." I was stunned on my stand when I heard mom's words on Barack with a short laugh.  They were all displayed well in the living room with dad and my little Ethan who was playing with his new favorite toy car given by random strangers. My lips suddenly curved upwards as I realised that they are giving their blessings on us to get married.  "Hey, what's with the drama? Is there any invisible barrier here and you can't step your foot there?" I jolted by Celestine's sudden presence croaking out, pedantically.  I shot her a face before I answered. "I am enjoying the view," I said then scanned her up and down. "I thought you were going to fix yourself first? You're fast," I continued in a creased forehead.  Having a heavy swollen abdomen was really not easy. It makes every pregnant woman

Chapter 18
Since Barack's meeting didn't end early, we decided to drop by on a mall for a while and do shopping with Elaine and Ethan. He called earlier that he would wait for us in the hotel instead which I agreed with.  Ethan was having fun bonding with us as he enjoyed the Christmas displays seen everywhere and played basketball in the arcade. The sun was slowly eaten by the darkness already when we decided to go back to the hotel. Cold Christmas breeze was crawling on my skin the moment I stepped my foot outside the car offered by my parents.  "Yzabelle, are you alright?" I brought back in consciousness when Elaine spoke on my side. We are now on our way to our room yet I was thinking and feeling very odd.  "Uh… Yes, I'm fine. It was just… the environment was so cold," I replied. She shrugged her shoulders before reaching for the shopping bags.  "I will hold these bags, jus

Chapter 19
As fast as the speed of light, I pulled his hands off me and pushed him as hard as I could that he fell on the floor. We were both startled by the sound of the cracking door which caused me in panic. I looked back to peek if Barack was already there, and luckily he was still inside our room, busy on his phone.  I heaved a sigh of relief then I fixed myself, including my hair and my neck which Blake messed up. He was really a monster, nothing has changed. I almost burst out into laughter when I saw him crawling from the ground up to the seat where he originally was sitting but I chose to control it which made me feel my entire face burning.  "That was hurtful!" Blake mouthed with furrow brows while holding and stretching his back.  I looked away then cupped my face, trying to make myself calm. This is really crazy! If he stays here for long, I don't already know what will happen next.

Chapter 20
"By the way, have you met Blake earlier in the hallway? Just a few minutes after you went out, he left because Ezekiel called him. He hasn't bid his goodbye to you, at least." I swallowed an air to my throat when Barack opened up a topic.  After Blake left me in the hallway, I headed back inside and went straight to my room to have a quick shower and change my clot
