Lahat ng Kabanata ng Give Me A Second Chance: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

  Opening my eyes slowly, I met my surrounding engulfed in slight darkness. I adjusted my eyesight through the dim light and looked at my left side hoping to see Sweety, but she is not here.   Where she went?   My heartbeat started to pound heavily in my rib cage. "Sweety.." I called her name. My voice was barely audible but got no response from her. My throat felt dry. I was not able to swallow my own saliva.   I tried to sit on the bed but a piercing pain in my right hand came to my consciousness. Then I saw the IV was hooked with my right hand as well as the peeping machine which was on the left side is monitoring my heartbeat.   Weird...   Inhaling the fresh air deeply to comfort my throbbing lungs, I pulled out the needle from my hand. Immediately a small drop of blood dripped over my hand where the needle was attached before.   I looked aro

  I sat on the bed when I heard the doorbell is ringing. I glanced at the wall clock and it showed one in the afternoon. Who was at this time?   I wiped my tear-stained face with a towel and opened the door only to see Juliet who was standing there wearing a worried expression on her face.   "I didn't expect to see you here," I said before opening the door for her to enter. "Sit, I get some water for you." I said and walked towards the kitchen.   I set the cookies and two glasses of orange juice on the table then I took a place on the couch beside her.   "Riya, it's not my first time me visiting your apartment. I don't think these formalities are still needed." I suppressed my lips to prevent letting out a sob.   "I'm sorry, Riya. If you are not comfortable with me staying here, I will leave." I shook my head. "No need to say sorry Juliet, it's not your fault and

  The wave of sadness rushed inside my body the moment I stepped inside the building where I don't want to spend any second of my life, simply wasting my whole energy just to arguing him.   But fate has decided already and I have no option but to adjust myself at least for 20 months.   Damn!!! It's 20 months!! How I am going to survive these days knowing the fact that the devil is beside me waiting for the better opportunity for claiming his mischievous attitude over me.   "Morning! Miss. Kader." Payal greeted me when I crossed her table. I gave her a small nod and walked towards the elevator.   Actually, this is not my behaviour. I will give them the same attitude that they have given me but today I am not in the right mind to show any kind of my sweet side but now I feel bad for treating her like this, as making her feel like not wanted when she didn't do anything.

  ~~~Past Wind~~~   "Don't stress around, eat healthy food, follow your meditation on time, do regular checkups and one more thing don't do any work that hurt you and the baby." I heard Kayish lecturing to his sister about being careful.   Yesterday Rachel informed us that she is pregnant with a healthy baby and when I asked about how far she told eight weeks along. Kayish is so happy when he heard the news and went to cloud nine. He, going to become an uncle, made him nervous and excited at the same time.   He continued his lectures about what to do and don't to do as he is a doctor and an expert for advising pregnant women.   I pulled the bedsheets over my head and wrapped my arm around his waist. My eyelids get heavy and I closed my eyes. I didn't get enough sleep at night; he was so rough yesterday it's seemed like a punishment.   Punishment for what? &nb
  "What do you think? You can stay away from me just because she is helping you through your whole nonsense. Huh? I can see the harness in her eyes whenever she was working with me. I wonder what you told her about your past... I mean our relationship." He raised his brow.   Now thing makes sense that why he fired her. Because she is the one who dared to come between us and he didn't like the way she was acting as my favour. So he fired her and if she is no longer between us, he will get his stinky attitudes on me.   Harith is right. Juliet lost her job because of me, why didn't I think of it earlier that he is capable of doing whatever he wants even if it cost a life to get back whatever is rightfully his.   "You shouldn't have done this to her. Her family is depending on her. She.. she just...please." I pleaded with him even though I hate this moment. For now, I wished the earth would open his mouth and sw
