Hunters: The Prequel のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 911 - チャプター 920

“It seems that we have to leave this place and abandon our chase,” a woman who was as beautiful as the sun itself, muttered silently yet loud enough for the man standing next to her to hear.“We cannot do that. We have been pursuing them for months and have come closer than ever before. We cannot let this chance go past us. We may never get it again. Once we lose them, it’s over. What will we tell the Lord? That we failed yet another mission?”The man next to her voiced his disagreement clearly. His body was riddled with injuries and his gloves had long lost their lustre. Though he was bleeding through several orifices, his aura was still as intimidating and as authoritative as it was when he was at full strength. That was not surprising though, for this man was the 2nd Sky! As for the person next to him, she was someone familiar to Mane. She was someone he thought he knew and a person he had loved dearly. She was known to him as Sunflower, but her true identity was more insidious. Fo

“Master. The 2nd and 3rd Skies have received the message. They are returning to us as we speak.”“Good. We will leave the moment they return.” The Golden Sky stated.“Are you sure this is what you want, Master? She is your mother after all. It would be emotionally challenging to wage a war against her.”“Challenging, but not impossible. It can and would be done.” The Golden Sky replied, answering the one who had served as his shadow for so long.“As you wish Master,” Shadow replied before stepping back submissively.“What about the man? Has he made his decision yet?” the Golden Sky asked.“He refuses to take another’s mantle. Give me a bit more time and I would have him pledging his allegiance to you Master. He is just a bit more stubborn than usual.” Shadow replied with a strange gleam in his eyes. There was a bit of excitement in those small eyes when he spoke of receiving a bit more time. It didn’t take a genius to understand that he was referring to torture.“He sure is resilient

“Are you ready? We would be waging war soon.” Loki asked Ananse, the woman who was the symbol of wisdom in his universe. The two were seated in a simple restaurant. The restaurant was filled with many familiar faces. These were people Mane had fought against or with. From the Barbarian Primogenitor to Dragon King Bast to Monkey God Hanuman and the Matriarch of the Ancient Clan as well as the allies from the Elementals, there were many gathered here whom Mane knew. Even Lily and Lam were here. They had come with their grandfather and though they weren’t strong enough to be on the frontlines, they were unwilling to miss such a moment. If there was one important person missing, it would be the woman who had provided solace for the young Supreme years ago – Asherah. Her whereabouts had been unknown since the war with Pazuzu. It wasn’t just her though. Chief Priest Kaka and the rest had gone missing as well. Of course, right now, the priority wasn’t to find her. There was war coming. They

“Do we not deserve seats, Celestial Emperor?” Ra asked as he tossed a few grapes into his mouth.“You have seats,” Atlas replied as he looked down upon the God Kings seated across his throne.Apart from him and the God Kings, there was no one else. There was not a servant in sight nor guard around. Clearly, Atlas was aware of how useless that would be around these men.“You have placed us lower than you,” Sango said with a scowl.“You want me to give you my throne in my home? You, who is merely a representative of Ogun? Do not forget your place Sango.” Atlas replied with a straight expression. His words caused Sango to dive into rage. His aura grew rapidly as he stood; however, before he could do something stupid, Brahman who was seating next to him placed his hand on his shoulder and pushed him back into his seat. The God King of the 4th Heaven pushed down so strongly that Sango’s aura was deflated like a popped balloon. With cold eyes he stared at Sango and said,“Atlas is right. Do

After some small talk, Mane left the throne room. His absence changed nothing, just as his presence added nothing. Once he was gone, the God Kings continued their conversation, engaging in small talk with the Celestial Emperor before finally taking their leave. As one would expect, Atlas did not see them out. He merely called in a few of his trusted servants to guide the God Kings out of his palace. Clearly, he had no desire to accommodate them here.Once they left, Zeus appeared from the darkness. Looking in the direction from which his rivals had come and gone, a small sigh escaped his lips. Turning to Atlas, he chuckled and said,“It is becoming harder and harder for you to hide your true feelings when you are around them. I remember you used to be very composed, to the point of perfection.”“Lord Zeus,” Atlas greeted politely.“You should learn to hide your emotions better. It was clear to them that you were hostile towards their presence. They are quite sensitive, you know.” Zeus
