Lahat ng Kabanata ng Love Pentagon: Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

"Thanks for shopping here." I smiled at the old woman who stood by the other side of the counter, then gave her her change. "If you don't mind, leave a review on our website. The website's name is attached to the bag." "Oh, sure." She smiled. She twirled around, and slowly walked out of the store.  I glimpsed at my wrist watch, and sighed. It was six already, which meant I had an hour left to work here. Grabbing the paper in front of me, I sighed for a second time. Skimming through it, the thought of my argument with Ryan came racing in my head.  Just last night, I had realized something. Since a month ago, my attraction towards Ryan wasn't normal. It felt so much like I was feeling something for him. Yes, I'd admit, I kind of liked him. But, the thing was, no matter what, I wouldn't tell him about my feelings. I really didn't know what he wanted. People liked him tended to be untrustworthy. What if he was plan

I whimpered. They were getting so violent. Violent to the point a lot of people started to gather around us. I felt weak, unaware of what to do. Who could I speak with? Raymond or Ryan? Ryan seemed even more angry. He pulled Raymond close, hit him about two times. Raymond's face was already swollen. It looked like a big, fat, red balloon. I felt very terrible, knowing that all this was nothing but my fault.  "Stop, please," was all I could say. My voice was really low, so of course, I wasn't expecting them to listen to me.  "How dare you touch her?" He slapped Raymond on the face. A couple of people gasped, which made me even more fearful. "Serene, do something about this." One of my old co-workers, Tanya, walked to me, sounding so worried. "Get Mr. Arthur out of here. This is stupid. If this fight continues, the police will arrive. Also, there's a probability that the media will arrive as

I took my purse from the selling counter in front of me, ready to head home. Taking a glimpse at Kenneth, I smiled a little, admiring how cute he looked, though he seemed pretty upset.  "You're okay?" I asked him, fixing my gaze at him.  He let out a sigh, as he leaned his elbow over the counter, then looked at me. "Y-Yeah. I think I am." "You think?" I quirked a brow at him.  He looked away, staring at the fez cap which lay on the counter. Being observant, I felt like he had been avoiding me all day. First, for some reason, he wasn't looking me in the eye. Second, he wasn't beaming as usual, and was only uttering little words, as if he was paying for every word he mentioned.  "You've been acting weird," I marked out.  He laughed weirdly. "Weird? What do you mean?"  I stepped close to him. "Kenneth, you've be

Kenneth really wasn't being himself recently. After the night he and Marsha had had an argument, he had been acting so weird. I needed to know what was going on in his mind, but that didn't seem to be possible. Anytime I wanted to speak with him, he'd ignore me. This was kind of upsetting.  "Serene, I think I'll be leaving now." He dropped a few papers on the counter. Taking his small, leather backpack from the stool beside the counter, he slung it over his shoulder, and sighed. "Will catch up with you tomorrow. Have a good night." As he was about to leave, I stopped him, "Kenneth, wait," I said.  "Hm?" He turned around, his eyebrows raised at me.  I walked to him, and sighed when I stood in front of him. "Guess I'll have to ask the same question over again. What's going on with you?" "It's fine." He glimpsed at the floor, giving me a small smile. "I'm fine. Really

I felt a bit disturbed, knowing that something was going on with Kenneth, Mrs. Stanley, and Marsha. Earlier, Mrs. Stanley had called them into her office, crying at them for something I didn't know. It seemed like she was complaining about some spoiled groceries. They had all seemed tense.  I took my time to arrange the freshly bought tomatoes into the stalls, then moved on to cleaning the selling counters. In a few hours, I would be done working for the day. Finally, I'd be able to rest.  As I wiped off the dirt on the counters, a clear memory of how Ryan had kissed me, was crawling to my head. Being frank, if I hadn't pulled away from our kiss that night, we would have ended up getting so crazy in our desire. Wasn't that cute? Yep, it made me blush.  Soon, a customer walked to the counter. Once I was done packaging her purchases, I handed them over to her, then resumed cleaning the counters.
