Sadie’s POV,“But mom, I’ve been so good and I haven’t caused any problems. Please just let me be a normal teenager for one night?” I was practically begging her at this point. “My grades are good and the game is only two hours long. I will come straight home afterward, I promise you.” She looked at me and then looked at my father. “If you let me drop you off and pick you up. I’ll let you go.” I smiled but damn it I wanted to spend some time with Jacob after the game. “Deal,” I said. “But Sadie, don’t make me regret letting you do this.” She said in a stern voice.

Jacob’s POV, I walked back into the school. Sadie wasn’t wrong. I could feel eyes on us as well, but who? I was headed back to the locker room. When something stopped me in my tracks. Kennedy stood by the lockers with her arms crossed and anger on her face. I just rolled my eyes and kept walking. “Not so fast Jacob.” I heard her say as I only got a few steps past her. “What?” I said and turned and looked at her. “I saw you. I saw you kiss that girl out there. So that’s the reason why you broke it off with me? For some dumb poor girl with no friends? What the hell Jacob?” She snapped and I almost lost it. “What I d

It has been two months since we arrived in Newberry Falls. Almost fifteen hours from our home. Sadie and I are in a one-bedroom apartment and have been going by the names Bobby and June. We thought it would be better to change our names for now. We still have three months before we turn eighteen. We have decided to stay here until we’re both eighteen and then move again. The only person that knows of our whereabouts is Tyler. He has also informed us that the police have been called, but not by my father. Sadie’s parents have lost their minds. Tyler told us that he doesn't believe her parents know that we are together. Other than that things are actually quiet and Ty doesn’t think my father is even looking for me. Sadie hasn’t been using her strengths since we arrived and even though I tell her she doesn't have to hide from me. She still keeps it to herself. I understand because she has had to hide them all her life and she is worried she will hurt

Sadie and I have been in Baker now for two months. Going by the names Katie and Nick. Sadie turns eighteen in three days. It’s hard to believe that she is seven months pregnant, but her stomach grows every day. I got a job right away and Sadie wanted to do something besides stay at home all day. I found a way for us to have all the legal documents we would need to become Nick and Katie. Sadie went and decided that she wanted to go and take some classes during the day. Sadie wants to become a counselor to help people. She never really had someone to help her and she wanted people to know she could help.I gave in one day and bought us this little house that was run down and needed a lot of work. While we rented this small apartment. I worked on the house behind Sadie’s back. It was hard to pull off any surprises around Sadie. She always knew what I was up to. She couldn’t help it, but I did my best to keep it off my mind whenever I was around her and so far i

“Jacob?” I heard her soft but frightened voice call out to me. I rolled over to face her.“What’s wrong love?” I asked her.“My water just broke.” She said and I flew out of the bed. I flipped on the lights and started to get all of her things together. Sadie just sat in the bed calmly while I freaked out. After I got everything out in the truck. I went back inside for Sadie who was already making her way down the hallway. She would stop for a second and grab the wall. I ran to her side.“Are you okay,” I said worried about her. She would just look at me and smile and then continue to move along the wall. I got her safely in the truck and took off towards the hospital. “Okay baby, remember the exercises we did for this. You have to keep it together. If you show yourself tonight we could lose each other.” Sadie was doing some deep breathing and I knew she was not only trying to focus on her pain but

“What was your father doing there Jacob?”“I don’t know, I didn't even know he knew where we were.”“This is bad.” She said still holding Julie as she sat her in her car seat. The sun was starting to set and I just wanted to get us home.“Sadie, you have to stop attacking him. He is going to figure you out.” I told her as she got into the truck and closed her door.“I don’t care Jacob. I don't want him anywhere near you. Besides even if he does figure me out. Who the hell is he going to tell? I mean people will think he is crazy.” She had a point.“We need to talk to doctor Kim as soon as possible. I’m sure my father will go back and tell your parents about us. I’m not running away again. We just got our home together. I’m ready to fight.” I knew my words were true. I was tired of running and now I had a daughter to protect. We had a life to start

“I want to marry you first,” Sadie said to me. I turned and looked at her.“What?”“I want to be married to you before I go.” I looked at doctor Kim.“Sadie, I don’t think the cops are going to let you out of here. I believe they are going to take you into custody and deliver you home to your parents.” Doctor Kim said.“Don’t you think us being married gives Jacob more leeway?” She asked. It looked as though the doctor was thinking about things. I mean it made sense. I would be her husband and have more control than I thought.“Give me a minute, I need to speak to the officers.” The doctor said and left the room. I turned and squeezed Sadie’s hand. We sat in that room for around twenty minutes. When doctor Kim came walking back in.“Okay, So here is the deal. Sadie is to be in my care and watch until Monday. They want to give her time with your

Sadie’s POV, Jacob had no idea of the horrible dreams I was having. My nightmares were all way too real for me and I saw this ending badly. We showed up at the police station early Monday morning and they took me into custody. Even after, doctor Kim told them that Jacob and I were now married. It didn't matter. We had to go home to fight. I kissed Julie and Jacob before they left with me. Jacob told me not to worry. He would be there before I got there. I was escorted onto a plane by strangers. Once we landed my parents were waiting for us at baggage claim. I wasn't happy to see them but I had to keep myself in check and that’s what I did. My mother smiled and placed her arms out to reach for me. But I just move past her and grab my things off the conveyor belt. “Please Sadie, don’t be this way.” She said.

Jacob’s POV, “Jacob, do you love me?” “More than you will ever know.” “Will you love me forever?” “You know I will.” “I love you too Jacob.” “What’s wrong, baby?” “I don’t feel anything good coming.” “What do you mean?” “I need you to promise me something.&r

Jacob’s POV,“I don’t know what’s going on, but Sadie and her parents are on there way back now.” Doctor Kim sat me down and told me. We had to be there when they released her to me at the police station where they would be arrested for leaving with her. Sadie had a lot of talents but mind control was not one of them. I was confused but happy at the same time. I couldn’t wait to get my girl back. “Just understand this. Even though Sadie’s parents bring her back. We still have to prove that Sadie is not crazy and can cope in this world without help.” I understood what the doctor was saying, but as long as I had Sadie I knew this was all going to work out. We pulled up to the police station and we went in and took a seat. That’s when the doors opened and Sadie came
