Chapter 30
It’s been four days since Roy walked out of the house. Kimberly couldn’t help but feel like he had walked out of her life, leaving her empty. She had no idea where that thought came from since all he did was offer to get her out of this place. Besides, she barely knew anything about him, but the heartache she has been feeling for the past days was proving otherwise. His absence was slowly driving her crazy, making her feel like she has known him all her life when in reality, he was a stranger who only offered to help. They barely spoke to each other when he was home but his presence made her feel safe in a way. Now, he’s rarely home, he leaves the house very early in the morning and returns very late at night. Kimberly had to cry herself to sleep each night, not only because of her fiancé and friends that were murdered but also because of Roy’s absence, which was already taking its toll on

Chapter 31
Kimberly couldn’t sleep that night, no matter how hard she tried to. She kept thinking about all Christine had told her that day. How could someone lose so many loved ones in such a short period of time and still manage to stay strong? She felt sorry for him for having to go through all of that. All the thinking made Kimberly dehydrated, she needed a glass of water so she got out of bed and headed for the kitchen. On her way to the kitchen, she noticed the door to Roy’s bedroom was slightly ajar. She contemplated whether or not to take a peek inside to find out if he was home. She decided not to snoop around a second time as that was her previous mistake which brought them to the present state they were in. Hesitantly tearing her eyes away from Roy’s bedroom door, she continued her journey to the kitchen. After quenching her thirst, she deci

Chapter 32
Kimberly woke up early that morning and ran into the bathroom to take a quick shower. She was still worried about Roy and wanted so badly to know how he was doing, after she saw him having a nightmare last night. Dressing quickly in a loose tank top and denim short, she rushed out of the room. While walking through the hallway, she glanced at Roy’s bedroom door, feeling the same urge as yesterday to take a peek inside, which she carefully did, hoping to not get caught. Mentally, she hated this new found habit of hers, but she couldn’t help it, it was like his room was calling to her, so she quietly opened the door and took a peek inside. She found her Greek god still asleep. “God! Kim, what are you thinking?” she cautioned herself. After staring at Roy’s sleeping form one more time, she quietly closed the door behind her, deciding not to spend another second, like some c

Chapter 33
Roy was furious with his wolf. Why was it so stupid and insensitive not to realize that Kimberly doesn’t want to have anything intimate to do with him. ‘She would’ve loved our kiss.’ Roy’s wolf said, making him groan in frustration. “You don’t get it, do you? She would end up hating us for the rest of her life.” Roy replied, hoping his wolf would shut up. ‘We could see it in her eyes, she wanted the kiss as much as we did.’ Roy could read Kimberly’s expression at that moment. He could tell she was expectant about something but, he wasn’t certain that it was a kiss. “You only think that way cos she’s your mate.” Roy said with an eye roll before walking into his study. He didn’t want to imagine how embarrassing it would’ve been if he had ki

'Did his mate just admit that she needs him? Did he hear that well?’ Of course he did. His wolf couldn’t help but jump in excitement, knowing that his mate wanted him too. ‘I told you' his wolf said, making Roy almost roll his eyes. If the atmosphere wasn’t this tense, he sure would’ve done that. He had no clue what he was doing until he found himself in front of Kimberly, with no gap between them. He could feel her warm minty breath, as he stared at her beautiful lips. Not wasting any second, he leaned in and connected their lips. He could feel his heart beating so fast, making him wonder if this was actually real. The kiss was gentle at first as he sucked her lips softly, but it turned heated pretty fast as he ran his tongue across her lower lip, causing her to release a low moan, giving him complete access. He trapped her waist as he

Chapter 35
Roy and the werewolf stared at each other while walking in circles, neither wanting to be the first to attack. From the looks of it, this one was of a higher rank, as it wasn’t quick to attack like the others were. Roy had totally forgotten about the second werewolf and only realized his mistake when it descended on him from behind, biting him in the process. He was on the ground whining and groaning. The weight was soon off him as he noticed a brown werewolf which he recognized as his beta sink its teeth into the other werewolf’s neck. In that moment, he saw the larger werewolf retreat back into the forest. “Follow him!” Roy ordered his beta through the mind link, which Elijah did without hesitation. Roy went for the werewolf Elijah was previously attacking and broke its leg before snapping its neck. Glancing around his surrounding, he noticed his mate lying unconscious on the ground. He immediat

Chapter 36
“How dare you tell me, you couldn’t bring her here!” Hugh yelled, throwing the desk across the room without a sweat. “I-I’m sorry Alpha. The Alpha of the blue moon pack got involved, killing the others in the process.” Hugh’s beta replied, trembling before him. His information made Hugh very pissed. He hates people getting involved in his business. “I only survived because I ran away. It looks like she is in the care of Alpha Roy.” Donald continued, but before he would realize what was happening, he was pinned to the wall, his feet lifted up from off the ground as his Alpha strangled him, his claws digging into his skin. “She is Mine, and Mine alone!” Hugh growled, his angry yellow eyes bore into his beta’s almost lifeless ones. He threw his beta with so much force, making him slam his body hard

Chapter 37
It has been four days, four days of hell for Roy. Kimberly has refused to see him or have anything to do with him, which saddens and upsets him at the same time, causing him to lash out his frustration on his pack members. He didn’t mean to do any of that, but he desperately needed somewhere to let out some steam as his wolf was slowly losing it. It so desperately wanted to go into Kimberly’s room to mark and claim her as his for days now, but Roy has been trying to contain his wolf’s yearning for its mate and it was beginning to take a toll on him. He needs to talk to someone and get this torment out of his chest and he knows just the right person to talk to. With that final conclusion, he stood up from his study chair and headed for his bedroom to freshen up. He didn’t have an idea what his room looked like at the moment, as had deprived himself from having a proper sleep for days. He hoped that

Chapter 38
Roy drove his uncle back to his house. When they approached the door, he suddenly stopped and turned to face Alan. “I want you to explain everything to her, carefully, because as it is, she is already mad at the fact that we aren’t humans… I want her so badly, but I don’t want to scare her away. I’m willing to go at her own pace, no matter how long it takes.” he explained to his uncle, who gave his shoulder a light squeeze, to assure him that everything would be fine. Alan could now tell that what was eating Roy up was the fear of rejection. The fear of waiting for so long only to get rejected. Roy had always been apprehensive about finding his mate. It took him quite awhile to convince his nephew that he wasn’t going to suffer the same fate as Hugh. Now that he has finally found his mate, that fear has returned. He gave Roy an understanding smile and the latter let out a deep si

Chapter 39
“You knew my mother?” Kimberly couldn’t believe that this stranger knew her mother. How is that even possible? She wondered, but immediately shook off that thought. She wanted to know more about her mom from someone else other than her dad, who only told her how much her mom loved her and how she would’ve loved to see her grow into the woman she is today. “Your mother?” Alan asked, sounding even more surprised this time. “Y-yes. She was my mother.” Kimberly quietly replied, her brows furrowed in confusion. “You’re trying to tell me that you’re not in any way Hailey?” She nodded in reply this time, not trusting her voice as she was now aware that this stranger mistook her for her mom because she was her spitting image from head to toe. Kimberly had lived with that pain everyd
