Chapter 21
Michael. I walked to my office with a bounce in my step due to my happy mood. My weekend with Alexia was more wonderful than imagined and we had a great time exploring the forest. I was sure that nothing could ruin my day. I reached the P.A desk at the front of my office and greeted Bianca. Alexia wasn't in her seat but I was sure that she was already in, seeing that her desk was already occupied with her stuff. "Good morning, sir," Bianca greeted back with a gentle smile. "You seem to be in high spirits." "I am. Where is Alexia?" "She's getting you breakfast. She'll be up soon." I nodded and got into my office before sitting down. I looked at Gabriel's desk and sighed in relief because it was empty. Actually, I wouldn't have minded if he was around today. I was sure that my happy mood would piss him off one way or another and I was more than willing to rub it in. I turned on my computer and went through some emails that Alexia had just forwarded to me this morning. I was starti

Chapter 22
Alexia. Michael and I entered an expensive cafe in the middle of the city. He was in grey shorts, a black long sleeved shirt and his hair was neatly gelled back. I wore a white dress with a red rose floral pattern, my waves were in a loose ponytail and sunglasses were propped at the top of my head. It was a really warm summer afternoon and a nice day for a picnic but Michael's mood was intimidating even me. In all honesty, I was excited to see his mother but I was also nervous of what she'd say about my relationship with him. Although he said that I shouldn't mind what she said, she was his mom so her opinion was important, right? I looked at Michael. He was frowning, a crease in between his brows. Even during the one hour drive here, he was oddly quiet and looked like he was deep in thought. I didn't know what to say and honestly, I didn't want to disturb whatever was going on in his head. "She's over there," he said as he put an arm around my waist. I leaned more on him, my hand

Michael. After Alexia drank two cups of her juice, she quickly dozed off next to me. I smiled as I watched her rest peacefully and she clung to me unconsciously with her arm over my stomach. My head was resting on my arm and despite my thoughts and feelings being all over the place, she was like a ray of light.  A gentle and sweet ray of light that gave me relief and happiness. Despite her trusting nature being cute, that part of her really worried me. A frown soon replaced the small smile on my face when I remembered what Alexia had asked earlier. Could you please talk to your mother? Why should I? Why should I talk to someone who had suddenly disappeared without telling anyone and came back to pretend that everything was normal? Who did that to their own children? Did she ever think of Gabriel and I? Couldn't she have said something before she left? She was my favorite person in the whole

Michael. My lips moved against Alexia's and she hummed when I squeezed her thigh with one of my hands, causing her to grind up against me. Breaking away from the kiss, I sat up and pulled off my shirt. Alexia sat up as well and pulled down my shorts along with my underwear. My hardened length sprang out and she nervously looked up at me. "What is it?" I whispered as I gently stroked her cheek. "I... I want to touch you," she said as her eyes dropped back to my length and I chuckled. "Go ahead." I completely took of my shorts and threw them on the floor before watching as Alexia took me in her small hand. Starting in small strokes, she began to caress me with her hand. Her fingers rubbed against me. Lightly and almost teasingly. She stared as the precum coated her fingers and I noticed her swallow nervously. Her lips parted lightly as her breathing increased and she suddenly took the head of my erection into her mouth. I moaned and smiled down at her. Reaching out, I gathered all

Michael. My car door was opened and I thanked the driver before stepping out of it. Unlike the low temperatures of the past few weeks, today was a pretty warm day. The sun was bright with a few clouds to threaten it's shine and that was somehow a perfect description of my mood. Closing the door, I walked into the building - accepting and returning the greetings around me. I had slept around 2 a.m in the morning but I didn't feel exhausted. After reading every letter and looking at every picture in the box that Mom gave me, I began to do some work. Just as Mom said, that box contained things that she wanted to tell me but couldn't. Most of them talked about how much she missed Gabriel and I or how much she wished that we could forgive her. Short narrations of her day with some pictures to remember them. Some of those letters dated as back as when I was fifteen and I came to realise that my mother was a very lonely woman. Reaching Alexia's desk, I looked up and our eyes met. Her eyes

Chapter 26
Alexia. "I can't believe that jerk stole our parking space!" Luis fumed as we entered my apartment and went straight into the kitchen. We left Cookie asleep in my room earlier and judging from the silence around the apartment, I figured that she wasn't up yet. Luis and I had just arrived from the mall where we went grocery shopping. It had been a while since we hang out and today, we enjoyed our time together over coffee and shopping. Since there were barely any parking spaces at the mall, we had to wait in the hot sun for one and the wait was anything but short. When it finally came, an older man quickly zoomed in with his car and Luis couldn't stop cursing at him. "Fucking bald headed bastard!" She spat as she set the paper bags on the table and took a seat on one of the chairs around the round it. "I bet that he's single. Nobody loves him!" I laughed and put the bags that I was holding on the table as well. "Calm down. At least we found another space right after that." "No, Al

Chapter 27
Alexia. I parked my car in the parking lot and leaned back into my chair with a loud sigh. I felt exhausted for some reason and I tried to compose myself before I went to my workspace. Since last week, I have been feeling sick. No matter how early I slept, I woke up tired and my breasts felt really tender. Despite my periods being three days late, I had abdominal pains every now and then so, I figured that it was because of that. I groaned and looked at the cars in front of me. Maybe I should've stayed home today. But then, I wanted to see Michael and I hoped that I would feel better after a light breakfast, medicine and water. Opening my car door, I got my stuff and made my way into the building. Approaching my station, I noticed that Bianca wasn't on her side of the table and I sat down before putting my things on top of it. I got an apple flavoured candy from my handbag and began to suck on it while I began my work. After an hour or two of staring at my computer screen and typi

Michael. My heart beat erratically against my chest and my head hurt as I tried to put my thoughts together. Burying my face in my palms, I let out a frustrated sigh and furrowed my brows in thought. Currently, I was at the hospital with my mom. After Alexia had calmed down, I got her a bottle of water and brought her to the hospital. I had been waiting for almost an hour and I couldn't keep myself from overthinking. The doctor hadn't given me any feedback yet and it added to the stress that I was already feeling. What Alexia told me in the parking lot gave me a sense of fear that I have never felt before. Didn't she say that she could hear me clearly when we were in Venice? What happened to that?  When she suddenly threw away her hearing aid, I was surprised. When I looked at her, she looked terrified and I wondered what had happened. I then asked if anything was wrong but she didn't even look my way. It was almos

Alexia. "Are you okay?" Luis asked as she handed a mug of hot chocolate to me.  I took it with both hands and blew at the brim lightly. "Yeah. I just have a bit of a headache."  My voice was hoarse and my eyes were puffy and itchy from my lack of sleep and neverending stream of tears. I took a sip of the hot liquid and it settled deep in my belly, it's warmth gradually spreading out. My hand subconsciously rubbed my abdomen. That warmth somewhat reminded me that I had a life growing inside of me. Michael and my child. A tiny being was being created inside me and the thought was thrilling. It was thrilling but I wasn't ignorant enough to not think of the disadvantages. Maybe it was because of my own selfishness or I was just pinning my fears on this innocent life. I didn't want to get rid of the baby but I was terrified to have it. I knew that my statement had shocked everyone and I knew, as muc

Gabriel. I clicked on the save icon and closed my laptop. Letting out a relived sigh, I leaned back into my chair as I allowed myself to relax. I was about to pull an all nighter on an important document but I finished it sooner than I expected. I stood up and ran a hand through my hair as I yawned in fatigue. It was late at night and the usual morning bustle was toned down. I enjoyed the peace and quiet as I tried not to doze off in the living room. I looked at my wristwatch that showed that the time was 11:49pm. Shit. I face palmed myself with a groan when I remembered that I was supposed to invite Bianca over tonight but time had flown passed me before I could even realise it. Before I could gauge my eyes out in frustration for forgetting the only time that I was permitted to see her, the doorbell rang. Huh? It rang again and my lips stretched into a small smile. I wasn't expecting any guests so, I figured that Bianca decided to come over on her own accord instead. Which was s
