Chapter 31
It's late afternoon. Harriet had finished bathing, and now it was time for her to eat. As I grabbed the spoon and bowl of chicken soup, I noticed Sean had been sitting awkwardly on the couch since we got out of the taxi. Sean's green eyes looked at Harriet who had been hiding behind me. "Would you like to try feeding Harriet?" I took the initiative. Sean immediately got up from his seat and nodded enthusiastically. Just as Sean was about to walk over to us, Harriet was hiding even more and hugging my leg tightly. "It's all right, Harriet. Let's eat with Daddy. "No... Mommy." I could see Sean's happy expression was gone. "Is Harriet afraid of me?" "You're new to Harriet. You don't have to think too much about it."

Chapter 32
Harriet likes everything about animals. I bought a lot of encyclopedias about them. Even though she didn't fully understand, her eyes still sparkled whenever she saw various kinds of animals through books. Today will be a historic day for Harriet, because we are going to the safari park. I told Sean that Harriet liked the variety of animals more than the fish in the aquarium. So now Harriet and I are ready in front of the house waiting for Sean to pick up.Ah, Sean and I have made up. But I still haven't let Sean stay at my house. Not without reason. Besides we had just started a relationship, Harriet couldn't get used to Sean's presence either. Everything needs a process, right? The horn sounded, and Sean's car stopped right in front of the house. Harriet looked at the source of the sound before stomping cheerfully. Harriet seemed to know if she was wearing a nice dress she was definitely going somewhere.Sean got out of the car half running, but at the same ti

Chapter 33
I gazed at the view of London from the rooftop restaurant. I went to this restaurant with Sean when we were still in college. I told you that Sean had forced me here because it was his birthday, right? I never thought I'd be going to the same place with Sean again, and we even have a beautiful daughter now. The night wind blows, and I smile. Harriet has been photographed in many spots by Sean. I don't think Harriet likes being photographed, but more interested in Sean's polaroid photos where the results come out instantly. "Yay! This is good!" Harriet shouted, holding up a bunch of polaroid photos. "Are you satisfied with taking pictures?" I asked, approaching them. "Can we go home now?" Harriet shook her head, then grabbed Sean's finger instead. She pulled Sean over to be photographed near the flowers. "Daddy will take one more photo. After this we have to go home so Harriet and Mom can rest." Surprisingly to Sean's persuasion, Harriet compli

I woke up to the smell of food. My body got off the bed, and walked to the source of the delicious smell from outside the room. Finding Sean making breakfast in my kitchen was something that never crossed my mind, not after all the crazy things that had happened between us. But that's the fact. Now Sean was busy at the stove, with his eyes on Harriet sitting on the floor eating strawberry jam. At first it was difficult to get Harriet closer to Sean, but look now Harriet doesn't want to be away from Sean. They are like inseparable twins. I hugged Sean's body from behind, then buried my wrinkled face in his wide back. Sean smelled even better than the pancakes he was making. Oh, I seem to be getting crazy about him. "Look, Harriet. Who's up so late? Yes, your mommy." Sean spoke to Harriet, and our daughters laughed. Sean turned his body followed by kissing my lips. I laughed amused. I kissed Sean back, and his hands now ended up squeezing my ass pretty

Chapter 35
"Suki? David?" I asked surprised as I opened the door. "Surprise!" They shouted at the same time. Why did they come to my house? I've changed clothes and so has Harriet. We're going to accompany Sean to the hospital to see Doctor Russell. "Gosh, what's with your face? You don't seem to like seeing me and David." Suki said laughing, as they entered my house. They bring pizza, drinks and other food. "Where is my beautiful niece?" "In the bathroom." I said, pointing at Sean who had just come out of the bathroom with Harriet. Harriet had been pooping, and suddenly wanted to be cleaned up by Sean. "Aunty Suki is here! Gosh, aunty and uncle miss Harriet!" Suki shouted, placing her shopping on the floor to quickly carry my daughter. Harriet laughed hysterically, especially when it was David's turn to carry her. David made my daughter fly. "You've already come." Sean said reflexively making me look at him. Did they make a promi

Angel's POV The next day I left Harriet at Suki and David's house. I don't know if this day will be long or short. Of course I hoped it would be brief, like just having a short chat with Doctor Russell and then having dinner at a beachside restaurant. But I can't guarantee everything, especially Sean admits that his vision is quite blurry. I was getting worried about it. "Babe, let's promise me first." Sean said as we waited in line in front of Doctor Russell's room. "Promise me you won't do anything I don't like when we meet Doctor Russell." I frowned, "What do you mean?" "Don't cry. You're not allowed to cry, or we won't get into his room at all." For a moment I was silent. I felt like I was hit by a heavy object and I really wanted to cry. Why was Sean's request so difficult? I looked down and rubbed my teary eyes. "I will try." I whispered. "My future wife is smart." Sean compliments as he brings my face to his warm broad c

Chapter 37
"Are you sure about your decision?" Steve asked for the umpteenth time, and my answer still didn't change. "I'm sure, Steve. Thank you for giving me so much leeway over the past month, but I really can't keep this job anymore." "I understand your situation, and I'll give you another leeway as long as you don't resign." I crumpled the box containing my office equipment. Yes, I'm in Steve's room to resign. Since a week ago I have written a resignation letter, but Steve always returns the letter to me. So this morning I immediately tidied my desk, and said I was leaving his office. "My mind is in a complete mess. While I'm here, my mind is only focused on Sean. I'm an unprofessional employee." "I'll give you days off. How about it, Angel? Can you consider that?" "You're a really good boss, but sorry I wanted to focus more on keeping Sean in the hospital." Steve tapped his finger on the table, then was silent for a long moment. He

"You'd better go home. You look tired. Let Anne and I stay at the hospital today." Hearing Harvey's suggestion, Sean glanced at me secretly. "I don't know. Should I go home?" I said looking at Sean. Sean's nod disappointed me. I'm not serious though. I also don't think I have the heart to leave him even for one night. "See? Get some rest." Harvey continued again. Speaking of Anne, she's still here. Sean and Harvey's mother had been quiet all this time while sat on the sofa, unlike Harvey and I who were talking in bed next to Sean. Anne had been crying hysterically in the hospital hallways until Harvey brought her here. I'm not comfortable with Anne, but she also has a right to be here even if it's not clear what she wants. "Are you sure you'll be fine without me?" Once again I asked for confirmation, but Sean didn't respond. His sleeping position had his back to all

AUTHOR'S POV"Harvey, do you still have feelings for Angel?"Those were the words Sean asked after Angel left. The last three days Sean had purposely stopped talking to Angel, not because he hated Angel, but he had been thinking a lot. Sean clearly loves Angel, until his love hurts his girlfriend again in a different way.Harvey glanced at his younger brother warily, "Why do you ask that?""Because after death I can't possibly ask.""Sean!" shouted Anne interrupting. "You'll be fine. Don't say weird things.""Don't interfere." Sean said."Sean! She's our mom. Don't be rude to her." Upset Harvey."I know she's our mom, but do you remember the last time she saw me? Yes, at my wedding." Sean smiled wryly, then his gaze was now on Anne who was starting to cry. "You know that I got Angel pregnant, but you forced me to marry Jessie only to protect Harvey's feelings. You hoped that that damn marriage would get Angel out of my life. Th

Angel's POV "We broke up? Are you kidding?" I looked around, looking for the possibility if Sean had put a hidden camera or something. Sean likes to tease me. I stopped laughing because Sean's face didn't look like he was playing. "I'm serious, Angel." For a moment I digested Sean's request carefully. "W-why is it suddenly like this?" "It's not sudden. I've been thinking for the last few days. I've also told Harvey and my mom about my decision." I looked at Sean in disbelief. If Sean had gone to the extent of telling Harvey and Anne about his decision, it was serious. I gripped Sean's hand tightly as my face looked at him in panic. "D-did I do something wrong? Tell me." "I'm giving you freedom, Angel. Don't you understand?" This time Sean spoke more firmly. "You can go where you like. Live in the country you've always dreamed of with Harriet. Start a new life without me. I've already sent the money into your savings account. If
