"Are you sure about your decision?"

Steve asked for the umpteenth time, and my answer still didn't change. "I'm sure, Steve. Thank you for giving me so much leeway over the past month, but I really can't keep this job anymore."

"I understand your situation, and I'll give you another leeway as long as you don't resign."

I crumpled the box containing my office equipment. Yes, I'm in Steve's room to resign. Since a week ago I have written a resignation letter, but Steve always returns the letter to me. So this morning I immediately tidied my desk, and said I was leaving his office.
