OliviaI sat in my makeshift office and heard the screams and war cries of my pack; Zephyra was here, and I loved the sounds of the screams and chaos all around me. She really knew how to make an entrance and create havoc, I taught her everything she knew but always made sure I was one step ahead of her.  I leaned back in my chair and sipped on the large whiskey I had poured myself. Zephyra would work her way and come to find me, I just had to sit tight and let her do the work. I heard some squirming from the giant oakwood closet “Shut it before I kill you both” I yelled and silence fell, a wicked smile crossed my face and just in case Zephyra got too smart I had the trump card in my hand; or should I say CARDS.  ZephyraI had made my way out of the hospital unseen. OliviaI watched as my pack was decimated right before my eyes; I was not going to allow this pack or that family win! I watched as Zephyra made her way to me across the blood strewn lawn, her nails dripping black blood. I grabbed Nate by his hair and my claws were slowly digging into his thick neck, I could feel the faint pulse on his jugular; Zephyra was ready to lunge at me and save her precious mate. A low pitched growl came from beside me, I noticed two of my warriors had Zephyra’s parents pinned on the ground; their claws slowly digging into their chests making their way to rip out their hearts. Stopping in her tracks but growling lowly. Looking from me to my two warriors  “I wouldn’t do that if I were you; it would take me just a split second to rip his throat out and you would have to watch him bleed to death all because you’re impulsive and blinded.”

Zephyra“MOM!!!”I saw the life leave my mothers body, my heart shattering… the cries of a hundred wolves rang through the air and mindlink. The loss of their Alpha. Their queen… I looked over to my father and saw his heart shatter into infinite pieces as he started to accept that the love of his life had just died in his arms… He looked up at me, I tried to reach out to him through mindlink, he had shut it off…He looked up at me, it was a look I’d never seen in his eyes; but one that I knew… it was one of pride and admiration; like he had decided something in the midst of his grief, I stomach lurched at the thought that crossed my mind; I was still reeling in my mothers death… now my fathers broken heart and my mates deteriorating health due to daily dose’s of wolfsbane, before I could even process any of these traumatic events; I saw my father grab a revolver of the ground… I reached out to run and stop him, to shout and tell him not to do it… but my voice cracked and my feet felt

NathanI turned to the side where Zephyra used to sleep and outstretched my arm to hold her; only to be brought to the harsh reality by the untouched bedside she used… Opening my eyes reluctantly, every pang of pain felt more real; this was not a terrible nightmare, the reality was that I fucked up and broke the heart of the only woman that truly loved me… Determined to make things right, I got up from the bed and showered… I suited up with a full black suit and white tie, one that Zephyra had picked out for me a while ago… everything in this house held her presence. I would do everything to win my darling back! ZephyraAfter that night, Nate and I made sure to make time for each other. We refused to let our relationship slip through our fingers. Granted that planning of the coronation took up most of our days, with the pack training having done so well; we decided to lay off for a little bit. Allowing for Nate and I to have some down time at home. On the other front, we started moving, selling and buying stuff as we moved into the Alpha house. We bought new paint and fun furniture for our old house so that the children of our pack could still have fun, I turned the study into a nursery for the babies and toddlers, with a designated nap area, some of our pack members were studying to be teachers and volunteered to work.
