30. Aaron’s Change of Heart
This is it. Today my bestfriend is marrying my brother and there is nothing I can do about it. At this juncture, all I want is to make sure that this wedding goes well so that she and Arthur will have their happily ever after. Surprised? I must confess, my feelings today are quite contrary compared to what it was before. Just a month and a half ago, I had punched my brother in the face. Heck, if I could kill him, I would have, back then.  Arthur had abused my trust, despite knowing full well that I love her. I have waited for her to love me back for eight long years. Victory is my first love and she is unlike any girl I have ever met before. She has never tried make herself prettier over some guy, she's never tried to make herself look dumb just to appease a man's ego, she's always game for new adventures, she'd never judge you based on your looks, social status or money. Basically, she would accept you as

31. Arthur’s Realisation
I didn't know it then but my bride did not plan on attending our wedding. Yes, you read that correctly. Our wedding was like an appointment that she stood up. As per our wedding rehearsal, the bridal procession arrived at the altar before Victory did. Everyone was asked to wait for one minute before the bride would walk in, so that we would be immersed in the beautiful song that was chosen as our wedding march.  As the tunes played, my eyes roamed to survey the beautiful hall that we were going to be married in. Impressively tall arches, marble columns, nave ceiling and colourful lights streaming from stained arched windows greeted me. Wearing a custom dark grey Armani suit, I stood erect in front of everyone who is important to me and my family. My chest puffed and pride gleamed from my eyes, knowing that in an hour, I will leave this cathedral with my wife in tow. If only I knew. Sixty seconds had passed. From wh

32. Victory Sinclair Disappears
Victory's body was shaking with rage as she slammed the door of Arthur's apartment, the door almost falling off its hinges.  Her heart was pounding wildly and her head was spinning so hard, her mind refusing to register what had just happened. Her body was shaking so much, she couldn't even stand properly in front of the elevators. Her fingers trembled as she furiously tapped on her phone, booking a car that will take her as far away as she could from Arthur Knight.  Breathe, she reminded herself. Pull yourself together and just inhale. She screwed her eyes shut and forced herself to take in long deep breaths to calm her nerves. She finally got to see the other side of Arthur, the side that he had carefully hidden from her. She knew that he had a callous persona, his reputation preceded himself. His business would not be successful if he wasn't and for the past few months, he had carefully contained the ruthless side of him whenever he

33. Victory Sinclair’s New Life
Arthur leaned back into the leather carseat of his dark grey BMW with a deep sigh as his eyes scrolled the paper that he was holding in his right hand. A frown had wrinkled his otherwise smooth forehead and the muscle under his jaw was ticking in annoyance.  Just like every other morning since the past two months, Gerald was driving him to court. Due to his wedding day fiasco, his company had been slapped by numerous lawsuits and today is no different. Every single day he would start the day in court and once that is done, in the afternoon he would be burrowed in his office with a team of lawyers trying to sort out the details and defence strategy for the next case. One bloody court case after another. His heart clenched painfully as he was reminded by the cause of his problems and a sneer unconsciously appeared on his lips. Swiftly pushing thoughts of his ex-fiancé aside, he shifted his focus to the details of today's court case.

34. Grüezi Lucerne
Victory looked up from the brochure that she was reading to stare up at the rustic antiquated building in front of her. Heaving a deep sigh and with a resigned look on her face, she told herself sternly. Okay, I can do this. This is going to be my home for the next six months. The International Culinary Arts School Lucerne Campus is housed in a former hotel which was built in the 1900s. The four-story frescoed building stood on the picturesque shores of Lake Lucerne, a majestic irregular lake overlooking two mountain of the Swiss Alps, Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi. The turquoise waters gleamed proudly under the morning light, sparkling as sunlight bounced from ripples on the water's surface, brought on by the morning breeze. The campus is made up of two buildings, The Union and the Lime Light building and it appears that she will be spending a lot of time in both structures, as both buildings housed the students' classes and residency.

35. Victory’s Secret Bun
It has been two months since Victory Sinclair has disappeared from the face of the earth.  Well, technically that is not true because she is still very much alive and kicking. The fact is, the billionaire heiress has simply disappeared from the New York scene only to reappear in the picturesque city of Lucerne, Switzerland. Since the wedding fiasco, Victory had left everything behind in New York and chosen to live her life as a student in Europe. Her mind wandered to Liana, the dark-haired, hazel eyed, petite Italian whom she seems to have formed an attachment to. Over the past few weeks, both she and Liana have settled into a comfortable schedule together. On weekdays, they would have breakfast, amble to class, grab lunch or dinner and then return to the room that they share. While on weekends, they would roam the quaint city of Lucerne and try to explore any hidden gems in the city.  Despite being caught red

36. The Peninsula's Blackout Luncheon
3 Months Later Victory was lugging four massive luggage bags from the conveyor belt onto her trolley. Ugh! Why do winter clothes take too much space?! She grumbled inwardly, clenching her jaw as she hoisted one luggage on top of the other. Only three months in Europe and her luggage seems to have procreated itself. One of her luggage contained only her winter jackets while another two held all her winter outfits. The fourth luggage contained cooking utensils and various pots and pans which was brought from Lucerne because Victory intends to cook once she settles down in New York. She is starting to think that perhaps bringing all those pots and pans back with her may not be such a good idea. "It's not as if I can't buy them in New York. I am such a nincompoop!" Victory muttered vexedly under her breath as she tried to navigate the heavy trolley and avoid bumping into the throng of trave

37. Coming Clean with Edward and Marilyn
"Mom, Dad, I'm pregnant." Yep, that's how we Sinclairs greet each other after a long absence. Unlike other people who would normally say hello, or ask how do you do, I decided to confess immediately when I saw my parents in the living room. The same parents who had accepted my feeble apology after I ran out from my own wedding, causing them to endure public humiliation. Perhaps I am finally embracing the spoiled rich kid persona as what the media have labelled me to be. I suppose you could say that the new me is a big fan of theatrics because there is nothing quite like dropping a bomb right smack in front your parents faces and watching their pleasant expressions contort into pure shock. So wicked were my thoughts that I half expected my dad to suddenly sprinkle me with holy water and exclaim dramatically, now that I have confessed, all my past sins are forgiven by the Lord.  My apologies, I seem to have diverged

38. The Prodigal ex-Fiancé Returns
It has been two weeks after she had given birth to Astor, the blue eyed, dark haired bouncing baby who is now terrorising both her days and nights.  Whoever invented the saying, sleep like a baby probably never had one. Despite his cherubic face and utterly adorable tiny fingers and tiny toes, Astor's cries could probably wake up the dead. In their residence, Astor have woken everyone up at the oddest time and sleep deprived is now known as the Sinclair's new normal. It's an absolute miracle no one has gone bonkers yet.   It was one of the rare afternoons where Astor had just fallen asleep and Susannah, his nanny carried him upstairs to his crib. As a new mother, alone time is a priceless commodity and she needed a distraction, something to help her relax and take her mind away from the anxiety of it all. So Victory had occupied herself in the kitchen and was baking an apple pie. Her cellphone suddenly rang and she idly swiped
