Just like it was a year ago, her work at A. K. Media is hectic and tough, and Victory is loving every minute of it. She finally garnered a small contract with Kim Entertainment. Her second meeting with the company went well, so well in fact they immediately awarded A. K. Media a contract to cover one of their newest rising stars who is set to feature in a new tv series. Besides Kim Entertainment, she also has garnered several other contracts with various new clients, which explains her erratic work schedule. Her days are filled with meetings and appointments while her nights and weekends are filled with events. With the new team that she's heading, Victory has to be on her feet at all times to make sure that she is able to bring in new clients as Arthur had appointed her to do. Arthur was livid. Because for one more time, Victory had deceived him. How could he have believed she would be any different this time? Barely a month into having her back in his life, she is already causing chaos and disrupting every semblance of order. In fact, they've stopped everything and ignored each other since that Friday when he dropped the bomb. Her eyes turned to the witness box and she saw the stocky figure of Dr. Desmond, the psychiatrist who was treating her for PTSD a year and a half ago. Dr. Desmond was wearing a freshly pressed suit, his toupee combed smartly to the side and his pale grey eyes were peering anxiously towards Harvey. Beads of sweat had appeared on his forehead, his Adam's apple bobbing nervously, looking ill at ease from the flurry of attention that he was receiving. The next day, I woke up to day two of the custody hearing. Like the opening scene in a typical Disney fairytale movie, the day started as a beautiful morning, the sun shining brilliantly against the bright blue sky, white tufted clouds floating above and birds flying in the horizon. A stark contrast to the dark ominous feeling that I have in my heart. I am closer to getting what I want and yet nothing is turning the way that I want it to be. When my car pulled up outside the U. S. Supreme Court building earlier this morning, I wasn't surprised to find a swarm of paparazzi waiting like sharks smelling blood on the stone steps of the courthouse. Their heads bobbing around like corks in smooth water, eyes flicking wildly from car to car. Anticipation building at every car that stopped in front of the courthouse, their cameras swinging recklessly, fervid to capture a shot of the estranged couple that is currently caught up in a bitter custody battle.
