The journey back to the apartment building was awkward as my mind still tried to process what exactly had happened. This stirred up a lot of murmurs and whispers about me. A few weeks have gone by since my training with Kain began and although I still have a long way to go, I have learned how a Companion acts, talks and even walks from Kain. It almost surprises me how much he actually knows about these things. I want to say that he simply knows because of his status as the CEO, but the way he talks; it is as though he himself lived that life.I want to know more about Kain more than I ever thought I might. This gathering was bigger than I ever could have imagined. Kain had told me it wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but if this wasn’t the biggest party, then I fear knowing what one of those larger gatherings is like! Bright dazzling chandeliers hang down above us, while enormous fountains of melted chocolate sit on tables surrounded by a buffet of food. Servers in cute outfits walk around carrying alcoholic drinks, offering them to whoever wants a drink, though there are also non-alcoholic drinks being served too. Another party, another night of enjoying the attention of others. This time, however, I am a little more upbeat about the entire process. Drake’s help for the first party seems to have eased me into the process more. I understand now why Kain pointed out to join Drake that night.
