Prologue

The thunder cried loudly and aggressively, signaling that a heavy downpour was about to grace the earth. The trees danced happily in the direction of the wind and the night got darker and calmer each passing second. A black wolf ran deep into the forest and towards an already growling wolf. As soon as their eyes meet, it changes back into its original male form. "Welcome Cyprus," An elderly woman spoke, stretching out her hands and handing a piece of clothing to Cyprus. "I came as soon as I got the message," Cyprus said, panting slightly. "What is this urgency about Madeline? It's quite unexpected." Cyrus asked.&

Ten decades have passed and both the Redmond pack and the Silvermoon pack have refused to subside their long termed enmity that has taken the lives of thousands of their kind both old and young. Their hate for each other was born when the Redmoon pack was attacked without warning by an already extinct pack, the Crystalmoon pack, that used to be one of the most powerful and feared packs of their time. They ruthlessly killed the thousands of werewolves belonging to redmoon pack including the pregnant Luna and her first and only child who she had fought hard to protect. It turns out that they happened to have been killed by the then Beta of the Silvermoon pack and he was ordered to do this by his Alpha who had promised to help the Crystalmoon pack (the extinct pack) in exchange for a good portion of the Redmoon pack's land and properties once they take over and murder the Alpha and his entire family. So it

Alpha Frederick dashed into the hut in which his wife had given birth with a beaming smile on his face. He could not contain the joy he felt in his heart as he laid his eyes on his precious little daughter that was held on to by his wife, who wore a satisfied smile on her face. With careful steps, he moved closer to his child, eager and excited to finally hold his child in his arms. It had taken them over seven years of marriage to finally be able to bear a child of their own. Celia had unfortunately suffered several miscarriages and this time while she was pregnant with their little angel, they had taken a lot of preventive measures to make sure she delivered her child safely and soundly. Frederick and Celia had fallen in love with each other the minute they found out they were fated to be mates at the age of Eighteen and Sixteen respectively. They had immediately become inseparable to the point where it actually

The Silvermoon academy was established by the fourth Alpha of the pack to enlighten the young ones better about their pack history and to also help train them to become stronger and more strategic. The academy was founded to also minimise the interactions between the werewolves and humans so as to avoid their existence from being exposed to humans and also to avoid putting their kind in danger. A seven year old Damien sat opposite his teacher with curious eyes, paying attention to each word that escaped his lips. He had a thousand and one questions to ask but each time a question popped up in his mind, his teacher, Darius, seemed to already know what he had to say before he even got a chance to speak, and to his surprise, all of his pending questions got replied to without him having to ask. "I'm aware that you are curious as to why we always tell you to run whenever you

Fourteen years later The members of the Redmoon pack mourned over the death of their Alpha; he had suddenly passed away in his sleep with no prior illness or disease. Fredrick, to everyone's knowledge, was perfectly healthy and agile. He had even addressed his members the night before and nothing seemed to be wrong with him until they suddenly heard of his untimely death that apparently had no actual cause. The sudden death of Frederick had hit Marco, his Beta, very hard as himself and Fredrick had discussed a very confidential subject the night before and Fredrick had entrusted him with the safety of the pack. A feeling of guilt had overwhelmed him for not realising that his previous conversation would be the last he ever had with his dear friend. Little did he know that it would be their last conversation and the final order he'd receive as the Beta of the pack. M

Marco had received a letter of invitation to the gathering of the Alpha's a few days prior to Frederick's death. He stared at the invitation as he pondered on how to represent Frederick in his absence. He knew just how important such a gathering was for their pack as it would not only be a means of economic growth and stability but also a means of creating a reasonable and necessary alliance that would be very helpful in future especially during an unexpected and unforeseen war with the Silvermoon pack. Marco knew Kira would have to eventually take over as the next Alpha but he didn't think she was ready enough to take such a bold step of attending such an event. He knew just how difficult it would be for her to get over her father's death and making her do something like this would only be cruel of him.

"Kira dear, look at me." Layla said to Kira, taking her hand in hers and pulling her towards her. "Take a very deep breath and exhale. You are going to do just fine there, okay?" She assured a nervous Kira. Marco, Layla and Kira were already standing outside the hall, getting ready to go in and Layla could practically hear her niece's heart beating at an unusual pace. Kira could not deny or hide just how nervous she was. She had never been allowed outside her pack ever and she hasn't really had the opportunity to meet other wolves outside her pack members. She could only tell their scents and pack names due to the training she had received but aside from that, she had no real experience with outsiders. She int

Kira sat on her bed with her eyes closed and her fist clenched tightly in fury. She couldn't even control her breathing as she was still trying to comprehend what had happened yesterday and make sense of it but like she expected, it made no sense and the situation made her feel restless. Just how could he be my mate? How in the world does that even make any sense? She wondered to herself in surprise and just when she thought she'd get no answer, her wolf, Kiana, decided to chime into her thoughts. "Kira, don't get started on this and make all of this a big deal." Kiana scolded and Kira frowned. "Don't you dare jump into my thoughts if you don't plan on actually helping me out here." She retorted in frustration. "Well if you keep asking yourself questions concerning my mate and wondering why he is my mate, I will have no other choice than to reply to you and calmly remind you

Damien rolled off Sheila, resting on his back on the side of the bed while panting quite heavily. "That was amazing!" Sheila drawled in contentment, whilst also trying to catch her breath. "I know right." Damien replied with a chuckle. They were both trying to catch their breath after going at it for hours. Now they were both quietly staring into space, Damien started to think of how he'd reveal to Sheila who his mate was. He didn't know whether or not now was the right time to tell her but he knew if she found out from someone else other than him, it would definitely hurt her feelings and put him in a more difficult place. He turned to stare at her and his eyes immediately landed on her perfectly sculpted body, making him hard for her all over again. Sheila noticed the way Damien looked at her and she blushed. "Don't tell me you want to go

"Let me get this straight Auntie, you want me to just set out to find this so-called spiritual mother? How though? Where do I go looking exactly? How do I recognise even one and even if by one crazy luck I do meet one, what exactly am I supposed to say? Hi, I'm Kira and I want to know why my mate is my mate and if it's related to a supposed old prophecy?" Kira asked, not bothering to hide her sarcasm."You don't need to recognize a spiritual mother my dear. All you have to do is walk deep into the forest and set your mind on finding her, it is said that a spiritual mother will only appear to those who seek her with a pure heart and you may not recognise her but she'll recognise you and if she thinks you're worth gracing her presence then she'll let you recognize her." Layla explained and Kira could not believe the gibberish she just heard. How in the world does any of this make sense to her aunt?"Hold on a second auntie, I'm a little lost here. So what you're telling
