THE ALPHA SERIES: 1 The enmity between the Redmoon pack and Silvermoon pack has been going on for over a century now. The war was expected to end or at least subside after both Alpha's find out that they were fated to be mates but to everyone's surprise, the opposite happens. Kira and Damien hate each other, so much so that they will never accept that they're fated to be together and will fight against their fate. Damien already has who he loves and is unwilling to let her go for a nonchalant, hothead that happens to also happen to be an enemy. Kira, as much as she always wished to meet her mate, hates the thought of ever being with an arrogant and rude man like Alpha Damien and to top it off, he's the enemy. They're always brought together by one thing or the other. Can they really fight their fate and stay as enemies or will their fate get the best of them.

Prologue

The thunder cried loudly and aggressively, signaling that a heavy downpour was about to grace the earth. 

The trees danced happily in the direction of the wind and the night got darker and calmer each passing second. 

A black wolf ran deep into the forest and towards an already growling wolf. As soon as their eyes meet, it changes back into its original male form. 

"Welcome Cyprus," An elderly woman spoke, stretching out her hands and handing a piece of clothing to Cyprus. 

"I came as soon as I got the message," Cyprus said, panting slightly. 

"What is this urgency about Madeline? It's quite unexpected." Cyrus asked.

"Come in first Cyprus, we can't speak outside." Madeline said, directing him into her bamboo hut.

The thunder cries became much more aggressive and the wind blew heavily into the bamboo house, kicking down a vase and causing it to shatter. 

"Ignore it." Madeline tells Cyprus as soon as she notices that he seemed to be paying attention to the upset weather. 

"What is it you saw Madeline?" Cyprus asked, knowing fully well that what he was about to hear might not be too pleasant.

"Danger. Terrible and destructive danger that might be the end of the existence of werewolves."

"What do you mean by that?" Cyprus asked with wide eyes.

"It's coming Cyprus." She added with a fearful look in her eyes. 

"Be clear Madeline, what's coming?" He asked, sounding a bit more desperate and eager. 

"What is this terrible force that might end the existence of all werewolves? How and what do you see?" He asked.

"What I see isn't everything but when the time comes, two packs will become united as decided by the moon goddess herself and  together they shall lead the werewolves into a battle against this terrible danger that threatens to extinct their kind."

Ten decades have passed and both the Redmond pack and the Silvermoon pack have refused to subside their long termed enmity that has taken the lives of thousands of their kind both old and young.  Their hate for each other was born when the Redmoon pack was attacked without warning by an already extinct pack, the Crystalmoon pack, that used to be one of the most powerful and feared packs of their time. They ruthlessly killed the thousands of werewolves belonging to redmoon pack including the pregnant Luna and her first and only child who she had fought hard to protect.  It turns out that they happened to have been killed by the then Beta of the Silvermoon pack and he was ordered to do this by his Alpha who had promised to help the Crystalmoon pack (the extinct pack) in exchange for a good portion of the Redmoon pack's land and properties once they take over and murder the Alpha and his entire family.  So it

 The Silvermoon academy was established by the fourth Alpha of the pack to enlighten the young ones better about their pack history and to also help train them to become stronger and more strategic. The academy was founded to also minimise the interactions between the werewolves and humans so as to avoid their existence from being exposed to humans and also to avoid putting their kind in danger. A seven year old Damien sat opposite his teacher with curious eyes, paying attention to each word that escaped his lips. Marco had received a letter of invitation to the gathering of the Alpha's a few days prior to Frederick's death. He stared at the invitation as he pondered on how to represent Frederick in his absence.    He knew just how important such a gathering was for their pack as it would not only be a means of economic growth and stability but also a means of creating a reasonable and necessary alliance that would be very helpful in future especially during an unexpected and unforeseen war with the Silvermoon pack.    Marco knew Kira would have to eventually take over as the next Alpha but he didn't think she was ready enough to take such a bold step of attending such an event.
