After about twenty minutes in the hot soapy water, Avril finally washed and drained the tub. She let in fresh water and rinsed herself before stepping out. Blood began to flow freely through her veins again, and the aches reduced. She walked to the towel rack and pulled out a large towel which she used to wrap her body. She looked at the wet blanket on the floor and did not know what to do with it. She had pulled it out after Alejandro left the bathroom and left it on the floor there. However, in order to look neat, she folded the wet fabric and dumped it in the tub.  Her hair was still very wet and dripping water all over her face and body. She looked around and fortunately saw a blow drier. She had never used it before but decided to try her luck. She actually used it well and got her hair damp instead of totally wet. She went through the hallway and arrived at his personal living room. She thought to hide there, between the cushion chairs but he'd find her. So, she went to the elevator and went down to the last floor. As she stepped out, she did not meet anybody. It was like they had all gone out for something, so the house was super quiet. Avril used this as an opportunity to move out without interrogation. She went to the garden and sat on a bench, behind a tall maze. “I wonder what Dakar is doing right now? It's been almost two weeks without me,” she thought aloud. The garden was cool compared to the rest of the environment. Avril knew it had to do with the plants and trees. Avril curled up on the seat and rested her head on the headrest. Alejandro walked around the car to the other side, opened the door and sat in. She looked at him and still saw that angry, dark and devilish look in his eyes. The first time she saw that look, she was lying on the floor after being beaten by his men. The injuries and bruises she sustained were not even healed yet and she had received worse beating already. She wondered why Alejandro was angry because obviously, it wasn't with her. Somehow, she knew he did not like seeing her hurt. Was it because of the money he paid for her and he did not like to see her unhurt? If someone purchased something new, he or she would get angry if someone else tarnishes it. The screams and yells got louder as they walked down the stairs. The other ladies hurried down but Avril took her time. They traced the noise to the back of the house and walked there. Yes, the four of them were tied naked to a long and wide table. Avril gasped and stopped walking as she stared at the scene in front of her. Florescent lights illuminated the whole yard so they could see what was happening clearly. The four of them had red marks all over their bodies. Avril guessed it had to be from whips or punches. But she was surprised when she found out it was from hot rods. They were placing hot rods on their skin. The rods were very long and some had extensions at the bottom, like metallic shapes. The top was placed on heat and the end of the rod was used to carry it.“No,” she mumbled as a man wearing thick gloves, took a rod from the top of a barbecue grill and placed it on the shoulder of Anastasia.   Avril had walked into their room and she exhaled. She was tired after supervising the distribution of jewelry to the people who ordered. Alejandro owned a backroom company that sold jewelries. Illegal jewelries, either stolen or bought from a black market. He only had the expensive ones, and sold it to greedy people who did,n't have the real prize. He made a lot of profit, because he had numerous customers who preferred to buy half the original prize from him.     Since he was out of Tijuana, Avril took over. The customers were greedy and cunning. One even requested to have sex with her and he would pay her the original amount, and she could keep the extra money to herself. She had to threaten to give him a lifelong impotency before he let her be.    Without Alejandro, she was an angry woman. Over the past six months she spent with
