Rhae’s next mission was to find Kaia. Rhae turned only to find Icran standing behind her, swinging the hilt of his blade into her head. Everything turned dark. Rhae awoke in the chair again. Kaia only managed to escape because the woman, whom she now knows as Lynn after a man called her name, had tackled the man to the floor, taking his knife and threatening him.
