Chapter 21_ Room of Eternity
Lefu grabbed his chest when sudden grief struck him. He screamed on top of his lungs when what felt like a dagger wounded him and carved out a portion of his heart, piercing him… leaving an invisible hole there. “Ahh! What’s happening?” He was alone in his room, finishing Amethyst’s portrait, but he couldn’t because he dropped to his knees and was crippled on the floor. On the third night of Amethyst’s temporary death, everyone gathered in the guest room when Rinari had gained consciousness. Upon the extraction of her childhood memory, Lucia brought the needed orb for everyone to see. “Everyone ready?” Lucia asked. She placed the orbs inside a tube one by one, in order of events. Each transparent orb rolled down a tunnel and was projected into an image enhancer mirror so that all of them can watch the past like they were in a movie house. “Everyone, be keen on the events. Grandma Ashanta is known for hiding secret codes in everything she does. And guard yourself because even if it’s a memory, she still has the power to control your mind. Whatever happens, don’t look into her eyes,” Rinari warned. The twin sat side by side with their cousin, adoring her for having a close encounter with their grandma, who was the leader of the most powerful witch clan. “Being with grandma and seeing her in action must’ve been a privilege,” Herbena said, snaking her
