So many things happened to Amethyst on the weekends. Events that puzzled her. Her mind was bugged with questions like, “Who is the conceited guy who pinned me twice?” and “Why things have become so weird that I can’t even remember most of what happened?" She turned the shower on and allowed the cold water to wash away her vague thoughts. Sighing, she closed her eyes to enjoy the cleansing effect of the streaming water, slowly soaking her naked body. “I need shampoo,” she said in her head. And with that, the bottle of shampoo came flying to her face. “Ouch!” she clasped a hand on her nose, feeling as if the impact flattened it. She opened her eyes to pick the bottle of pure aloe shampoo on the bathroom floor. Then she imagined herself scrubbing her body, which, to her surprise, made her jump when the soap and scrub floated in her direction. Whispering and gossiping voices welcomed Thea and Amethyst as they walked past the girls, who were buzzing like busy bees on campus.“What are they staring at?” Thea mumbled. The way the students stare at Amethyst caused her to flinch as if they were slapping her. Some of them stabbed her with an angry look. Others gazed at her like some sort of plague needed to be avoided.Despite the sizzling atmosphere, the two girls continued their routine.
