SamanthaMy fists are balled as I sat on the chair beside my brother. Jacob took the chair on my right, holding my balled fists. I'm sitting across Jacob's wicked sister. She was glaring at me. I don't even know why she's here. I'm certain she's not part of the company, not even a stockholder—or it's just what I thought?Heaving a sigh, I glanced at Jacob, who gently squeezed my fists. He stared into my eyes as if calming me down, and telling me everything will be handled just fine.Admit it or not, I am indeed nervous. Today, at this very moment, there's a big chance that my life will turn upside down for the second time. It feels like I will lose everything in an instant, and it's scaring the hell out of me. How can I fight with them when they're using their money and I don't have anything with me but courage and dignity.Jacel Lee lifted her chin after her parents came, followed by an old man in suit and walking stick. His dangerous aura brought negativity around the four cornered

Samantha's POVFor me, our lives didn't change that much, but for Jacob and Theo—it did, big time. I know they're having a hard time living a new life, which was far from their lives before. They said, we'll have a vacation on this island, turns out we will live a simple life like the other people here. The island is private, but there are people living here. Most of them are families of fishermen, and they seem to love the life here."Sam."I looked at my back and smiled at Shane. It's been a week since we got here on the island. Theo and Jacob went fishing every morning. Sometimes, they do that for our meal, but most of the time—to sell, so they can support us. They're enjoying their lives, I can see it, but I'm still worried that they'll eventually realize that they trade their lives for us. They sacrificed too much.Shane stopped beside me, still sitting in his wheelchair. I'm just standing by the door, watching Jacob fixing the fishing net after they got back from the mid-sea.S

Samantha's POVAfter I got discharged, we went home straight. Jacob was so careful of me and our baby that sometimes I'll just laugh at him because he's really overreacting."I'm not a baby, Theo!"I looked at my brother, who growled at Theo. The annoying Theo keeps on insisting on carrying him to sit on the couch, but my brother, who's showering with pride, keeps on refusing.I just shook my head and looked at my sunshine in my arms. I went to the kitchen, following Jacob, who's gonna cook our dinner."Hey!" Jacob noticed me behind him. He smiled and went to us. He kissed our baby's knuckles. "Hello, my little sunshine. Daddy is here."I smiled and stole a kiss on his cheek. He looked at me and shot his eyebrow up. "You're abusive."I chuckled and chewed my lower lip. I shook my head. "You don't like it?"He grinned and kissed my lips. It was a passionate and long kiss while his left hand is keeping my face in place. He licked his lower lip after the kiss and winked. "I love the tast

Samantha's POVI watched Dylan entered the room with a tray of food. He was smiling so wide, so bright, and I know that behind those smiles, he was thinking something selfish and devilish. I've known him for a long time. I've been fooled by him real good, and he's done enough to make me want to puke every time I see his face.He walked towards the bed where I'm sitting and put the tray on the bedside table. He leaned to me and kissed my cheek. I would love to spit on his face, but I have to play my cards well. Dylan is a bastard, and I know he knew that I have plans."Are you hungry, sweetheart? Do you want me to feed you?"I looked at him, despise is visible in my eyes. I don't wanna pretend that I don't hate him. He's f-cking bastard and coward for doing this. Abducting me, and blackmailing that he would hurt my child and Jacob? He's plain stupid!"Why don't you eat alone, Dylan? I don't have an appetite. I've lost it the moment I saw your face," I said with my clenching jaws.He ch

Samantha's POVI can't move. I can't even lift a single finger. After I heard that gunshot, a deafening silence followed. Tears continued cascading down my cheeks as I covered my ears, afraid of another gunshot. Did he… did he really kill himself? No! He must pay for his sins. He can't escape just like this. He can't!"SAMANTHA!"I jumped in shock as a series of bang on the door followed that familiar voice. That voice! Jacob! Am I dreaming? Is he really here?"Samantha, baby, are you in there?"I looked at the door and slowly crawled backwards. The door swung opened, revealing Jacob, whose eyes are dead worried. His sharp eyes immediately softened after he saw me."Jacob!" I cried his name as his warm embraced enveloped me. He hugged me tight. So, so tight and warm."I'm sorry… I'm sorry for coming late, baby. I'm so sorry…" he whispered while kissing my hair.My trembling hands reached his back and I hugged him tight. I cried in his chest. "You came! You saved me, Jacob!""Shhh! Hu
