Vladimir:My heart raced against my ribcage as I paced around at the hospital.Dad just arrived to the hospital and my eyes widened when he approached me. His eyes as wide as a mad man’s.He grabbed my collar with both his hands, tears leaving his eyes “where is my Maria?”Tears fell from my own eyes. Despite trying to stay strong, I couldn’t.Viktor has been quiet since entering the hospital, and dad’s eyes widened when he saw him sitting on one of the waiting chairs.“You fucking bastard…” he walked toward him and punched him in the face before anyone could react. But Viktor didn’t move, his body remained numb. Nikolay pulled dad away from him and held him back.“I know you’re upset, Ivan, but things seem to be taking a different turn of events…”“Different turn of events, Nikolay?” I said stopping the man. His eyes widened as I approa

Vladimir:“What do you mean she was checked out yesterday?” I asked wide eyed. The nurses and patients around stopped to look at us in confusion, however, I paid no attention to them as I fought myself to remain calm in the state that I was in and learning now that my beauty wasn’t at the hospital and was checked out without me being informed worried me more than I could dare describe.I had gone to the hospital to check on Eliana to find that not only was she not there, but was already checked out of there. My hands shook as I feared the worst and the nurse frowned in confusion. I fought to hide the fear in my eyes as I looked at the woman who was trying to study my expression, but judging by the fact that I had barely just found her two days ago, I haven’t been able to hug her either. Everything had gone wrong for the past forty-eight hours and I had hoped that I could make it up to my wife today, but…“Mr. Ivanov had come

Vladimir: “Who the fuck do you think you are to speak to her that way?” I asked Nikolay who glared at me. Kiara had her arms crossed over her chest as she sat on one of the chairs not looking at her husband. Grace, Richard, and Sebastian all had their eyes wide as they looked at Nikolay. “Good morning, sleeping beauty” Nikolay said coldly “one who wants to defend his wife would defend her WHEN the event is occurring, not after she left” “Who the bloody hell are you to speak to her in that sense, Nikolay?” Kiara stood up and walked up to her husband. She pushed him back making his eyes widen “what if it was me? What if the tables were turned and Vladimir was speaking to ME in that sense?” “No one would dare speak to you…” “Why? If you dared speak to a woman who is still grieving over her lost child, has been kidnapped, TWICE in the past month, and don’t you go telling me that Sebastian was there, or that Viktor hasn’t harmed her. The woman watc

Eliana:“How are you feeling, love?” I asked Vladimir who was laying in bed with an ice packet on his forehead. It’s been a month since Maria passed away, a long exhausting month which drained the whole family.Viktor had come home after the operation and thankfully, Nikolay, Kiara, Richard, Grace, and Sebastian had stayed here. Vladimir Ivanov has been taking care of things back in New York, and according to Nikolay,, things didn’t need his presence so far. Their kids have come to visit here too, and they also went back twice to see them at home. Ivan hasn’t gotten better through the month, his anger, pain, and heartbreak could be seen in his eyes whenever we saw him. The man wouldn’t even leave his office unless dragged out. As for Vladimir, all the pain he held inside reflected on his health and he was now on bedrest due to high fever.I removed the packet which was now not and put my hand on his forehead before he c

Eliana:“Wait, wait, wait, we’re going to be working with the cops to get to my brother? Have you gone mad?” I asked Sebastian who pinched the bridge of his nose. The men have decided to go and work with the federal agents and cops to stop my brother, and they were just ‘informing’ me about it.“Yes, Eliana, we’ve already spoken to Vladimir about it. He too believes that it’s a good idea. Plus, it won’t be the first time the mafia and cops work with one another” Sebastian said and I sighed. Vladimir wrapped his arms around my waist and laid his chin on my shoulder.“You need to relax” Vladimir whispered to me. I put my palm on his cheek as he kissed me gently, leaning in to my touch making me smile.“Working with one another is something, but don’t you think that it would be dangerous to get in between people that we don’t even know. I don’t even know what Ian
