“Kelly, what is this?” Caleb asked and placed the photograph in front of her. Kelly was a coloured woman with shoulder-length hair with these dark brown almost black eyes. She changed her hair colour every month, but it was a light pink this month, which matched her handbag. Kelly was a lively woman that loved colours and could be forgetful at times. “Oh yes... there was this guy, I don’t know why he was there, but he kept trying to walk towards Reed’s body. His name was Ryan Hoffman, and he gave me this business card then left. He said to call him.” She shrugged. “Can I get that card?” “Yeah, sure. So I hear you agreed to go out on Friday.” She smiled and handed Caleb Ryan’s card. “Don’t remind me.” He grunted. “Well, wear something nice I invited one of my friends to come with me.”

Caleb had been in Pretoria his whole life; he visited other places on business but never left South Africa. These business trips were mostly to fetch suspects from other towns, help with different cases and track down the family of the victims. None of the trips allowed him to actually explore the places he visited. He had black hair and sea-green eyes, and for 39, he was extremely handsome for his age. Caleb was also quite buff due to all the training he did every day to stay fit for his career. He had the whole toned legs, defined abs, strong arms and a massive chest build. Caleb stayed up to watch the footage again to try to spot something they had overlooked; he also drew up a chart of all possible links to the case. It was around three in the morning when he placed a question mark next to Aideen Foster’s name and then went to bed. Later that day, he woke up at 7am to shower and stopped by his favourite bakery to grab a muff

That Thursday morning, Caleb drove over to Rohana’s house and picked her up for the psych evaluation. He took her to the phycologist the precinct often worked with, Doctor Kagiso Ledwaba. Everyone that knew him just called him Doctor Waba.   “I’m nervous,” Rohana confessed before they walked into the doctors building. The court had ruled that it was mandatory she goes for the evaluation, but luckily, she was willing to agree.   “It’s okay, you haven’t done something like this before. It’s normal to feel nervous but don’t be scared. Doctor Waba is the best in Pretoria. He’ll take good care of you and is extremely kind.” Caleb replied to reassure her. He opened the door and let Rohana talk in. Doctor Waba stood waiting for them and offered Rohana a smile.   “Hello, you must be Rohana Reed. Everyone calls me Doctor Waba, so please feel free to do the same.” He said friendly and shook her hand. “Would you like anything to dr

Aideen wore a sexy tight purple dress that rose up to her thighs as she walked, with her wavy hair hanging loose behind her and a pair of pure black heels. She looked gorgeous. Caleb noticed the men watched her as she walked away and was instantly to his feet. He tried to follow her through the crowd, but she slipped away, so he gave up and sadly returned to his friends.   “Caleb, there you are! This is Joyce.” Kelly smiled and gestured to a pretty Indian woman. She had black hair and dark brown eyes.   “My date,” Samuel added.   “Nice to meet you, Joyce.” Caleb greeted and sat down.   “So I’ve been told you are a detective. I was just telling Samuel how I would love to have you come speak to the children at the school I work for.”   “I’m sure that won’t be a problem.” Caleb smiled.   “My friend quickly went to the bar. She hates it when I drag her around, bu

After a few minutes of their make-out session, Caleb pulled away and stated, “We better get that coffee, or we won’t be leaving this car.” Which made Aideen laugh.   “Hey!” She exclaimed as Caleb walked towards the shop.   “What?” He asked, confused and walked back to her.   “Come here.” She smiled and stepped forward to place a kiss on his lips.   “Oh, you.” Caleb beamed, and Aideen slipped her hand into his as they walked into the Fresh Stop at the Caltex garage.   “What would you like, baby?” Caleb asked and hugged Aideen from behind as she read the menu.   “Can I please get a hot chocolate? What would you like?” She inquired.   “A vanilla freeze, please.”   “You can go pay at the counter so long.” The man replied and handed Aideen the receipt.   Caleb took it from her hands and walked forward
