Winter Bear; Stay With Me. のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 51 - チャプター 60

The detective walked into the office where his client was and immediately got down to business. Handing over the brown file in his hands to the seated man behind the busy desk, he took his seat and watched the puzzled Pablo open the file and pull out the papers in it. Pablo's eyes expanded when his eyes skimmed through. “W-what is…this?” He looked from document to document in increasing alarm until he got to the last and pressed at the other man for explanations. The detective exhaled and nodded with confirmation, “You’ve seen it for yourself Mr Pablo. Those are what I found out after using the bridge you gave the other time”. Pablo stared down at the documents now strewn over the mess on his desk with indenting worry darkening his pleasant features. “So this is the connection between Salvador and the mafia? They’re business partners…dealing with hard drugs”. The substance involved was Marijuana. “Hayes Warren also has his hired private detective hot on the matter. Has he been info

Hayes was in a hurry to get to the office that day but was forced to stop his haste when he saw the entourage that barged into the mansion that Thursday morning. It was Anastasia and her…family? His brows met with discontent and he moved with approaching steps. When Anastasia saw him, she lit up and a large smile plastered over her face. “Hayes!” She called out his name with glee and his expression stilled with disdain. What was she up to? “Oh Hayes, it sure has been a while. How are you son?” Anastasia’s father stepped closer to Hayes and shook hands with him. “I didn’t know you were coming, it’s a pleasure” If only he meant that from his heart. He was getting angrier by the second and was badly itching to flee that scene that moment. ‘Now you won’t get away so easily’ Anastasia smirked secretly and felt triumphant when Hayes walked her parents into the guests’ living room where his parents were. It seemed the stage had been set for her and for sure this time, she would win at all

Little Mario was excited to see his friends getting picked up by their parents as they waved goodbye. He knew one of his parents would be here soon to also whisk him away so he happily watched the others leave and put on his backpack by himself. “Mom will be happy to see my painting” He said to himself, holding his little water bottle in his small hands that hung down from his neck by its ropes. “Is that so?” This wasn’t mommy’s voice, he rose his head hesitantly and met with a strange face he had never seen before. His reflection showed on the dark lens of the black framed designer shades the exotic woman donned on her fair, thin face. ‘Mommy said not to talk to people I don’t know’ He pressed his lips together, showing his will not to entertain the strange woman that smiled, understanding the defense he was putting up. ‘As expected of him, he’s his son after all’ The woman smirked and stood up, a woman coming to her silent call. “Take him” She turned and left, quick on her heel

“Mr Warren!” The host was quick to lend help and Sharon did the same as they both came to his sides to support him. His lids squeezed shut tightly, his insides were aflame, ‘But there was nary enough alcoholic content in that drink’. It baffled him and set him in a state of confusion towards why he was feeling this way. “Quick, get the valet to bring the car to the driveway” The host ordered the attendant who immediately did as told while him and the CEOs secretary assisted him out of the establishment. “Huh? Mr Warren?” A woman almost bumped into them and when she took a closer look, she recognized him in the middle and the woman to his left. When the secretary lifted her gaze and saw her, she was shocked. “Hey Anna why haven’t you gone in already? Or did you forget to make the reservations?” That voice…it was that woman, the one the boss held and worshipped in high esteem. Sharon knew she was about to be called out for her conniving schemes and struggled to keep her cool when B

“What the- Oh, who do we have here?” At the sound of that voice, Bloom tensed considerably and spun around but he was already few steps away from her and donning his famous malevolent smirk. “There some sort of problem?” He stood abreast of Blo who had suddenly gone mute. These were powerful characters that hadn’t met one another before. She wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible. But fate had a way of exceeding ones expectations and there they were. “There’s nothing” Bloom suddenly looked drained and didn’t know what else to say to him. The older woman noticed her sudden deviation in attitude and wondered who the man was to her. Nevertheless, it was none of her business the relationships she kept in her life. Valerie was ready to make her exit and said one last thing to the younger woman. “You should do well and stick to my advise, little miss. I’m not quite forgiving of my offenders you see. Savor it while it still lasts”. “Don’t you think that’s a little overboard, f
