Ceremonial Dinner
Dinner began and we were all given the option of salad and soup to start before the main course. I chose the soup and requested more wine which I drank quickly causing Sophia to whisper in my ear as she poured me another glass, “A little slower my sweet girl.” I nodded at her then felt the glare of the High Priestess and Sophia quickly whisked herself away back to standing surrounding our table. There were all my lovely fellow priestesses standing around me as if they were statues while we all ate. I hated it and tried to imagine what it would be like if they could sit here with us too. They deserved it far more than I and especially the High Priestess did. These women had protected me more than I knew and were just as trapped. I took a long moment looking around the space taking their faces in because once my hair was revealed I wasn’t sure if I would ever see these women who raised me again. I took especially a long look at my beautiful sweet mother with her hair in a simple br

The Alpha's Speech
With dinner complete, we made our way with the High Priestess’s instructions past the dining area and further back into the garden was a wide-open space full of flowers and candles to light us all but the candles weren’t complete needed as the moon shined down more clearly in this area than any other part of the property. There were chairs set up on both sides of a middle aisle for me to walk down and I stayed back waiting to be presented to everyone. Reese was beside me and I was grateful for the support. “Kellina, Rogan couldn’t stop asking questions but I wasn’t sure what to say.” She said as soon as we were out of the High Priestess’s earshot. “Reese, did you tell him about my hair?” I was keeping my fingers crossed she had because I thought that was something he needed to have a heads up on. “Well, I was worried others would hear.” She looked down ashamed. I turned to her desperate to not shock him and prepare him for the worst because I was so unsure if my hair was

The Ceremony
I was terrified to walk down the aisle and wasn’t sure what to do but the Alpha had told me to approach and I knew I could not deny his command. Everyone was still standing now and smiling except the High Priestesses whose face was as red as Sarah's, the Red Priestess's hair at this point. She had tried a few more times to say something but the Alpha completely ignored her and smiled at the guests and me. As I walked it brought joy to my face to see so many of the priestesses' faces and all looked as though they were excited about the future. I wanted to be as excited as them but also knew it may not be the same for me. I was terrified of what was going to be unveiled and as Reese walked behind me proudly as my chaperone, I stopped at the end waiting for her to go stand by Rogan. He greeted her and continued to smile at me as if he had won just now but there was so much more he didn’t even know that had happened. I gave him a glance doing my best to take as much of him in as poss

Wolf
“Oh Kellina, my dear please wake up.” I heard my mother’s voice but it still felt distant. “You did it dearly and you are beautiful.” “Mother...” I opened my eyes and saw Laura smiling down at me but it did not seem the same as my eyes were tilted differently. It was then I realized I was now in my wolf. I felt my body turn and stand up with my new paws and look around seeing the smiling Sophia, Clara, Caroline, Margo, and my beautiful mother. “Okay dear just wait, and we will turn and we can show you how to handle your new form.” They stepped back and I knew were about to undress. I took the moment to listen and could still hear excitement only louder and clearer with my wolf hearing. I felt stronger than I’d ever felt and could feel my tail wag excitedly as I wanted to go and show the world. I wanted to show Rogan but then I saw that face of his again and I wasn’t sure if I was ready. I waited patiently for the others but I could still hear her damn screaming. “I will not

The Run
The air was cool and crips against my fur. I allowed my wolf to guide me and she was loving every minute of it. I had hoped we would talk at some point and but for now just feeling her emotions was enough. She was joyful, energetic, and much stronger. I followed closely behind the Alpha and Luna as we made our way into the woods where you could no longer see the White Priestesses’ home. So much had happened and I wasn’t even sure where to begin. My mind was racing about what it looked like when we got back but right now my pack was following tradition and it was traditional to run after the first time you turned wolf with members of your pack. “Kellina try to enjoy this.” Laura put in my head “What how do you know I’m not?” “My dear, your whimpering.” She said concerned “I can’t hear it.” “You will soon enough as your wolf and you develop a larger bond, you will be able to do far more than you will ever know Kellina,” Sarah interjected. I wasn’t sure if I was e

Returning
We stepped onto the grass and several priestesses remained behind had robes offered to many with a screen to protect those who wanted to turn without being seen naked. I waited patiently for Laura to be by my side to help guide me as I was very nervous about how this would go. Margo came up in human form already in a robe with a bowl in her hand. “Kellina drink this it will help ease your transition back.” I did as she told me but truly wanted to thank Margo for all she had done. It had turned out even though she was one who typically took care of the High Priestess that it didn’t mean she was supportive of her. I lapped up the drink and it tasted sweet like strawberries. Laura was talking to the Alpha now it seemed in wolf form still and although I came close to listening in I wasn’t sure if I wanted to hear what was likely being said about me so I waited. Looking up into the High Priestess room that was a great majority of the second floor minus rooms for her main attendants.

Making a deal
I followed him to the same spot just a few nights before where we had met in the moonlight and he had told me he loved me. I knew I wasn’t going to hear it again and I walked slowly to a small private area prepared to hear what I’d been dreading. He looked sick and even though his tan skin couldn’t make it obvious he was pale and I knew he must think all of it was a mistake. It was my fault because I should have never met and agreed to spar with him in the first place and then the sparks happened. It had felt like a dream and now I was preparing to get to the darker part of the dream where it turned into a nightmare. He did not want me because I was nothing more than a cross-breed. He stopped and I took a few more steps. We stood there in silence and nobody wanted to speak. I should be respectful I thought to myself and make this easier for both of us. My wolf paced in my head just as nervous as I was. Finally, I couldn’t keep it any longer. “Rogan, it’s fine. I understand

Basement
I waited until Rogan’s family left and then came out trying to be cordial and promising Reese that as soon as I knew more I would contact her. Sarah, the Red Priestesses assured me that we would be in contact shortly. I did my best to put on a strong face but I was just exhausted, overwhelmed, and ready for it to all be over. My new wolf and body were ready to rest and when I get to my room I collapsed after wishing Laura a good night's sleep. I drifted off into my dreams and saw the white-haired woman, my mother. She held me in my arms because I cried softly and that was all I needed at that moment. I had to admit letting it all in and getting the love from my family of long ago even in my dreams was truly special to me. It made me grateful to be of age and half my wolf in check even if we didn’t know what came next. My wolf snuggled in as well and we were unaware of anything Array y in the house. The large bang of my door being swung open and being pounced on before I coul

One Week Rogan's POV
It had been exactly one week since I’d seen Kellina and my entire body ached. I regretted every minute I wasn’t with her and even more the fact I’d left her in that fucking house! My body was going through changes and I could feel my wolf presenting but still it would be another week yet. I kept pushing myself further working out every second I wasn’t at school. Kellina had not been there either but how could she be because she had been tortured by that fucking bitch that had called herself the High Priestess so badly that even with every white wolf caring for besides the few that instigated the entire situation well over a week before they said she could walk. My only way of getting any communication was through Reese as my parents were silent and refused to talk to me about her condition even though I begged. They told me I had to give it the time I’d promised and assured me she would be there on the day of my ceremony. I wasn’t sure if I believed them because having no cont

The visit
I sat staring at my window in the new overstuffed recliner looking outside and staring at where I could just small pieces of the Alpha home. It was a large compound capable of holding more wolves than it did now but most of our pack chose to live across our large land and only come together for bigger events. Next week was the biggest event in decades and that was because the future alpha, Rogan would be turning eighteen. I wondered how his ceremony would look compared to mine. Certainly not as disruptive as the High Priestess yelling and screaming and then whipping you with chains later until you blacked out. My body was still sore and some bruises still remained. The white priestess Clara, Sophia, Caroline, and Margo had come daily since I was brought here to help heal both Laura and myself. I knew it must be bad because so far they had been like a clock coming in the morning and evening each day. After a week of healing my ankle and knees were finally improved as it seemed
